Thank you for chiming in.
I tried fish oil several times before but never consistently, and not recently.
I took good brands and paid great attention to quality (I’m a supplement nut).
The problem I had with fish oil is that it gave me throbbing headaches. Right away I got them and they put me off.
Granted, I was taking Super Max fish oil with 360 EPA and 240 DHA per softgel, and later even more concentrated softgels from Life Extension. BUT I only took one a day, not more…
I’d love to take fish oil but those damn headaches… grrrr!
Maybe it’s just normal for this to happen at first but then the headaches subside when things settle down? Maybe I should try a low dose and see how that goes…
I get headaches if I take more than 3.5g of arginine or NO supps too by the way. A bit of a high blood pressure maybe? Not sure. I’m still 25 years old in human years…
I eat a lot of meat (steak, locally caught fish, etc)
I’d like to experiment a bit and see whether modifying dopamine levels does something and improves some things in my body.
I had been on anti-depressants in the past for a lon time when I was sick but nowadays I only take Sedoxil (Mexazolam) at a very low dose (1mg tabs) just before bed to make me sleep (we’re talking just 1 tab and 1/4). Not sure if that affects dopamine in a bad way or whether my levels might be messed up a bit from the shit the doctors gave me in the past.
Also, what other supps besides fish oil mess make the body produce healthy levels of dopamine? I’d like to experiment a bit.
And I guess there are other neurotransmitters that work with/are related to dopamine in the body like serotonin, norepinephrin, epinephrin, etc, etc, right? So it’s a bit of a complex thing and finding the right balance might be difficult…
