DHT will cause hair loss in anyone that has the gene for male pattern baldness. If your mom’s dad didn’t have hair you could possibly have that gene. Lifting weights and taking creatine also raises DHT, but I don’t see every jacked guy at the gym, myself included, walking around with hair loss. It’s the gene that’s the problem, not the hormone itself. Correlation doesn’t = causation. Bad science abounds and the internet doesn’t help in that regard.
True. I suffer from male pattern baldness. All males on my mother’s side are bald. So I have done my research and yes, we seem to possess a gene that makes it so the hair follicles on top of our head are sensitive to DHT. They stop receiving nutrients and eventually fall off.
My wife likes me bald. And I’d always like a bigger d. So it’s a win/win!
However, if you DO care about your hair, just use topical Minoxidil and do dermarolling. Those two greatly increase the blood flow to the area without affecting any hormones.
Regarding the creams though. There’s plenty of research and studies online where they apply DHT cream to infants with micropenis and they see great growth results. Not sure how it would work on us who are way past puberty..
Can’t wait for all this COVID thing to blow off to go back to the gym and my protein+creatine!
