L-Arginine and Cranberry

Well I did it. I picked up my 100 pills of 1000mg L-Arginine on EBay the other day. The brand is Jarrow(?). I was wondering what would be a good dosage to start with and what should I gradually increase it to. I’m 18 years old, 5’10, and 155 pounds if that helps.

Has anyone tried cranberry supplements? I hear it promotes a good urinary tract. Maybe in combination with the L-Arginine, improved load distance may result? If you have tried it let me know, I’ve been curious for some time.

Start with 1 gram a day, and take it when you go to bed. After a week, increase to 2 grams - one late in the day before dinner, the other before bed. Quit there. See what happens. At 18 yrs old, I don’t know why you are taking this supp.. Because some of the older guys here do?


Excuse me. Sorry. I had to come back. Why the cranberry?? You having urinary difficulties at 18? I mean, the cranberry can’t hurt you, but why bother unless you like it a lot?

Somewhat, but not really. It’s more a curiosity question whether cranberry and L-Arginine have any affects on each other. Does one help the other? I’m not planning to incorporate cranberry as part of my supplement group. However, if it helps, I’m always open on new ways to make my penis and my load bigger!

Nothing. I just get curious when an 18 year old, theoretically in his sexual prime age, feels he needs to supplement. Does he have ED? What’s going on with the cranberry also? He didn’t expain in the beginning.

Cranberry juice won’t make your cock bigger or make your cum volume increase. In fact, supplementing with L-a when washed down with cranberrry, may lessen the effect of the L-a so be careful there.

I’m going to make an educated guess from reading here and elsewhere regarding L-a that about 50 percent of users, or less, get a sexually-related response from it. I’ve talked with my urologist about this. He said he has had several patients using this and it didn’t do zip for them. Works well on me, but don’t be real disappointed if it doesn’t on you. That was me for awhile. I took every supplement under the sun I think including those to grow balls. Dont do it unless you have other issues.

Hm, let’s put it this way… I’m 5.5”x4”. I’ll take any help I can get! Whether it be L-Arginine or whatever.

About needing the cranberry: I don’t need it. It was more of a query to see who knew about it and if cranberry actually helped. Just the curious cat in me.

About the supplement laundry list… I’ve been there and quit it. Now I try to focus on one or two main supplements and see how my body reacts to them. By the way I picked up damiana :D

I’m assuming you are trying to increase your NO levels.

Why not try foods which may aid this instead of doses of concentrated substances?

While I was unable to find specific data adverse to L-arginine, there was a lot of inconclusive data. Also, there are risks for people with existing conditions.

If you used a food (or food group) I doubt you’d need be concerned with adverse effects nearly as much as with supplements. Further, since you have to eat anyway, you could save some cash by not buying what may turn out to be snake oil.

I have been tempted with supplements too. I was trying to take in lots of protein. I found tuna fish and other foods were loaded with it — no need to purchase non-filling supplements.

My advice is to research this, see what foods can aid you. Also, digesting something over time is surely better than blasting a concentrate into your system.

I will definitely research it more gerrykjohnsons. I don’t understand though, if L-Arginine did nothing at all, why is it reccomended?

Is it because of my age that I’m being encouraged not to take it?

Age didn’t enter my mind.

Personally, I prefer to find foods that give the same effect. I believe letting the system digest something is better than the “shock treatment” supplements can have.

I’m certain L-arginine has its uses, but unless prescribed, I’d avoid mega-dosing on anything. Again, food can deliver these nutrients. After all, you’ve lived this long without it somehow.

Are you trying to increase NO (Nitric Oxide) levels?

To be honest, I’m just trying to increase my loads and testicle size; the “natural” way haha.

I completely agree with you on that. I notice when I don’t masturbate, everything feels a lot larger.
