And what are your expectations from it?
It worked for me modestly well at below your dosage, but the side effects were a bit annoying. You might wish to stack it with other things to assess your libido profile.
Since I posted the last message, I have been increasing the dosage steadily until I reached 3 mg per day (1.5 mg, 2X a day) on Saturday. I think I will stay at this dosage for a while.
I have not had sex for a few weeks (I do not watch porn or masturbate) so I really don’t know if my refractory period has decreased. Last time I had sex, I was still on 1 mg, and what I found was that the orgasm was more intense with stronger contractions. Now at 3 mg I have random erections throughout the day, especially at around 2 hours after dosing. I also have very strong nocturnal and morning erections. I feel horny all the time but not to the extent that some people claim to experience while on pramipexole.
My expectation is to have a higher libido and to be able to have multiple orgasms. From what I read in different forums, some people claim that they feel so horny that they need to ejaculate 6 to 7 times a day. I want to experience that level of libido and multiple orgasms when I have sex.
I really don’t know what to do now. Should I increase the dosage to the max (1.5 mg 3X a day) or should I switch to, say, ropinirole, another dopamine agonist to see if it works better on libido? I tolerate pramipexole very well. I have almost no side effects even at 3 mg per day, except for some tiredness. I sleep extremely well on pramipexole and feel very refreshed every morning when I get up. I can switch to ropinirole but I am a bit worried about what kinds of side effects there will be.
Do pramipexole and ropinirole act on the same receptors? Which one is better for libido according to your experience? I don’t want to try cabergoline because apparently it will damage the heart valves.
