Protein Powders

I am using the Classic Whey from Optimum Nutrition. It was on sale at GNC for 23.99 for the big bin. It mixes well and I like the taste. Although I took it back last week because it didn’t mix well. Every so often they make a batch where they don’t add enough lecithin. It’s good stuff, though. I’ve tried alot of brands and this is about as good as I’ve found.

My favorite proteins:

GF-pro or I-pro
Primaforce Substance WPI
Syntrax Nectar

Or any Whey Protein Isolate sold at Bulk Nutrition (as long as it tastes decent).. There are a few newer ones I haven’t tried yet.

I don’t like optimum nutrition - It isn’t an isolate, I don’t believe it to be of the same quality of other concentrates either.. Additionally, it is more likely to cause some indigestion in some people.

I don’t use whey proteins too often anymore though.

I now use “Mass Meal” or “Muscle Milk” type drinks, and amino acid blends (scivation Xtend watermellon flavor (great taste) or ergopharm all-in-one or similar) when I need an instant effect.
