Hey, Mr M;
I’m in my mid -50’s, and suffer from something called syndrome X, whose symptoms includes insulin resistance, high cholesterol, and also low testosterone. I’ve been treated by two doctors, both pretty much into alternative medicine, and the one I use now, (who is very good), took me off androgel, which is real Testosterone in a gel , and put me on Tribulus; a brand called Medi-herb which I believe is made in Australia from Bulgarian Tribulus. It’s a 4.5:1 extract equal to 2.79 grams of herb, taken 1 per day, and it definitely increases my Testosterone production. If I run out for a while or am feeling low on funds-it costs nearly a US dollar a day for the pills-My body keeps up the production for a few weeks but I notice a decrease in morning wood after a while.
Also I am back in the gym since this guy cleared out my arteries, and I find that the more exercise I add in, the better everything works, and the harder the blood pumps when required.
If you are in your 20’s and taking the tribulus to boost your testosterone past your normal levels, then maybe it would be wise to cycle your use so the body does not cut back it’s natural production. I’m in the opposite situation where the body has already cut back due to age or illness, and the extra boost from the tribulus helps me get back the strength and endurance to get back to serious workouts. I also notice that if I increase the dose to 2 or 3 a day in hopes of faster growth or a hot date, I can actually get a case of ‘roid rage where my temper is very short and I’m generally very grumpy, even more so than usual according to my family. So there is a limit for everyone.
As you can see, it really depends on your age, your own natural health and levels of production, and the amount of active herb you are getting into your system. As with anything we add to our bodies, it never hurts to back off for awhile and note the changes, for better worse. Hope this info is some help.
Big Dave
