Viagra Q's...Need personal experience.

I have a few questions about viagra, hopefully myself and others will profit from these questions.

1.Has anyone found a good source for generic viagra?
While I would NEVER purchase generic viagra from overseas,I found a company that sells generic viagra,and I continuesly seen the name of this company in my search for generic viagra.Cant remember the name right now.While I am scared of getting ripped off,it is very true that you are paying so much for the name,just like paying $100 for Nikes while it cost 7$ to make.

2.Lets say,hypothetically,that you used viagra,looked at some porn,and then got a full erection.Then you stop looking at porn,and do not touch your erection.How long will you keep the erection?
(if you take a 50mg serving).

3.Whats the lowest amount that you have taken,that has given you an erection(also,it would help if you inform rather or not you suffer any ED or not).

In the above post,I mentioned that I seen a companies name many times while searching for generic viagra. The name I seen repeatedly was “Omnigen”.I am not sure rather or not this is actually the companies name,but I beleive it is.If you are going to do a search for Omnigen viagra,search for “omnigen ( ) citrate”(whatever viagra is called).

I suffer from mild ED and have been using Viagra on and off for the last year or so.

1. Can’t tell you about this, because I get my viagra locally.

2. This is individual. But in general: you’re not going to get a 4 hours long erection (unless you are having sex all this time), you get erect when you feel sexually stimulated. At the first time I tried it though, the feeling of my pants against my penis was sexually stimulating enough to get me hard :) , but - again - you’re not going to walk in the street with an erection for a few hours.

3. The lowest amount that worked for me is 25mg, and I do recommend that you try this first. Experiment, try 25mg and try 50mg aswell. It’s better tp get a 100mg pill and cut it to 4. I think it should be cheaper than buying 50mg pills.

I don’t have any kind of ED problem, but I occasionally use viagra for recreational purposes.

1. I haven’t every bought generic viagra, so I can’t help you there.

2 & 3. 25 mg of viagra works fine for me. If I watch porn while under the influence of viagra, I get an immediate very firm hard-on due to the visual stimulation. If I stop watching the porn, my hard erection will subside, but I remain much firmer, thicker and longer in the semi-flacid/flacid state. Viagra does not give you an automatic erection. You need some kind of stimulation, i.e manual, visual, etc to rise to the occasion, but it happens much quicker and the erotic feeling seems much stronger and very pleasurable.

I wanted to do some erect bends,and I cannot keep an erection to do it.
I am also hoping that I will put on some size,so I will be big enough to use the Power Jelq,and maybe viagra will help.If not,I will stick with the uli thing,and some erect bends.

might be someone to ask. I seem to remember him posting about a source for a generic viagra that seemed to work as well as the original (both drugs are sildenafil).

I do not have ED, but had a Physician friend (died in an accident)who prescribed viagra for me last year. I recently (month ago) went to the pharmacy to renew and asked if there was a generic for viagra. The pharmacist looked it up and said not at the present time. I think there are many quasi, psuedo viagras out there, but the generic is not “out” in my neck of the woods.

This may just be stating the obvious, but the generic versions seem to be available only from outside of the United States.

A couple of months ago, I ordered some 50 mg tablets from a source that turned out to be Indian, and received them by international mail not until two weeks after ordering them. The chemical worked as well as the brand name, but I think that I ought to have purchased them from an English or German source to try to minimize the travel time.

Also, the party from whom I purchased them sold only the 50 mg size, and therefore didn’t offer the same value as those selling the 100 mg size.

as another note, it seems like within the first 6 months of 2003, Eli Lilly should get Cialis approved for US use by the FDA and Bayer’s Vardenafil is coming along nicely. Both of these will kill Viagra, trust me.

Pat, why do you feel they will kill viagra? Are they hyping them as superior? I’d love to hear more details on these new drugs…

Cialis is superior in some aspects but could be inferior in others.

The main advantage of Cialis is it’s half life, lasting for at least 24 hours, if not 36 hours. Compared to about 4 hours half life of Viagra. That means that if you have ED, you can take one pill (20mg) in the morning and not worry about having sex at any time during the next 24 hours. And if you take it every morning, you’re ED problem will not be an issue anymore.

Another advantage is that, unlike Viagra, it’s not dependent on food intake, so you can have your romantic dinner and not worry about the drug not being effective.

However there could be some disadvantages - every drug works differently, so for some people the Viagra effect could still be stronger.

And every drug has it’s own side effects.

As far as I know Vardenafil has the same half life as Viagra, which seems to give Cialis a real edge.

1. I have been using Silagra 100 for about 6 months. Can’t tell any difference between it and Viagra except the price. Silagra had a Fire Sale about 3 months ago and I was able to buy a good quantity @ less then a buck per 50 mg dose. I checked with my Dr. ( he’s the joker thats behind my ED problem { BP meds} in the first place) about the India Sildenafil Citrate. He did not have a problem about that as a source. 2.I’m looking forward to the arrival of Cialis and its Gereric. As stated here, erections don’t have to be so perfectly timed because of the extended time frame for effectiveness (36 hrs.).

3. I haven’t taken anything less than a 50 mg. dose. I have taken 75 mgs. but can’t tell any difference. Great things happen after about 45 min. after taking this med., but you had better wrap things up within a hour and a half (my case anyway).

Since you seem to be reluctant about the source of generic Viagra, why not check with your own Dr. before you try it.

Pharmaceutical companies spend years, and typically millions of dollars, developing and testing a new commercial drug. In order to justify that expenditure (investment) of time and money, they secure patent rights to protect their invention and their right to make a profit from the invention.

For utility patents, which cover drugs and food additives and so forth, the period of protection has always been 17 years from the date the patent is issued. With the GATT Treaty in place, newer legislation now grants utility patents a period of 20 years protection from the date of filing for the patent. Therefore, it will be a while before a legal generic to Viagra is available in the U.S. (and many other places).

Patents are usually acquired on a country-by-county basis, though there are exceptions to that. For example a patent secured through the European Union would be binding in all countries who are members of the Union.

Countries in which Pfizer has not secured patent rights could legally make and sell a sildenafil citrate product. But in most cases, the product could not be legally sold in countries where patent rights already exist.

There are some interesting new Viagra alternatives in the pipeline, and over the next 5-10 years this will be a boom market for new penis pills of various types. It’s going to be a buyers’ market, for sure, but it will be increasingly “Buyer Beware” as each new product spawns a plethora of knock-offs and herbal alternatives.
