What are different "free radicals"?

What are different "free radicals"?

I know L-arginine is a free radical, but is ginkgo biloba, and horny goat weed. I need to know how to take these without them counter-acting with each other.

You do do you?

There I was thinking it was an amino acid all this time.

;)

Just teasing. Ginko is fairly safe, and I’ve heard of people taking a lot of arginine without problems. Don’t know about HGW unfortunately.

Free radicals? Does that have something to do with terrorists? ;)

"Denn wer ewig strebend sich bemüht, den können wir erlösen"

Goethe, Faust II

free radical:

NOUN: An atom or group of atoms that has at least one unpaired electron and is therefore unstable and highly reactive. In animal tissues, free radicals can damage cells and are believed to accelerate the progression of cancer, cardiovascular disease, and age-related diseases.

L-arginine is therefore not a free radical, but an amino acid, that promotes nitric oxide that is a free radical with a chemical signature of NO. NO2 would be the stable compound. Nirtic oxide is not a very reactive free radical and therefore not as damaging, but it plays a vital role in the male erection.
