Getting CUt alot when Shaving

I am using Bic Sensitive and Gilelette form.. Lately I have been getting alot of cuts at least 2-5 a shave.any one experience this.. I am thinkg it’s the form shaving cream. I am going to try a different one eheh

Invest in a quality razor, soap, and especially a brush.

If you’re just smearing cheap foam or gel on your face and scraping it off, you might actually be better just using hot water.

Make sure your face is thoroughly warmed up (hot towels) before to open your pores up.

Thanks man.. I am going to do that .do you have any recommendations for shaving cream or shaver

If you’re not using a cuttroat razor (a bit tricky to learn, but worth it), there are a few good cheap ones. I use the Mach 3. Just stay away from the one-use disposable ones.

The soap/cream isn’t as important as the brush, I have one made by Kent (men’s grooming) which is pretty good. Look in real barber shops or upmarket department stores to buy your stuff.

I have found that shaving, no matter what part of the body you shave, is more of an art form than anything else. Cutting yourself could be a result of a number of different root problems. The first could be your shaving cream. I have found that some types of cream do something to my skin or hair that makes it easier and more likely for me to cut myself. A good razor is essential. A dull blade or a bad razor can make shaving a bloody nightmare, and I mean that literally. Find one that fits your hand and shaving surface well. The biggest reason people cut themselves is a lack of awareness. Your shaving some part of your body and before you know it your actually off in London having tea with the Queen. Next thing you know you take a nipple off. Have you been more distracted or unclear lately?

Klayton, I found that it’s not at all difficult to learn with a real razor. I purchased one last Sunday and have been using it ever since. I just picked it up and started using it. Carefully of course but pretty quickly none the less.

Use shaving oil, not cream/foam. Make sure your blade is taken care of; you can make it last a long time by taking a q-tip, cleaning it and applying some oil to the blade to keep it from rusting/deteriorating. My blades last me a month or more easily if I’m taking care of them.

Another reason for slicing and dicing yourself is due to not having the skin taught in the area you are shaving. Make sure that you hold the skin tight that you are grooming this will cause the hair to stand up and the razor to glide over the skin without nicking the skin.

If you tighten the comment, it will cause the thread to stand up from the grave it was in and return to viability. If you are good enough, your comment might even glide over the age of the post causing the reader to fall into the necro post trap. :)

I like using a full stainless steel safety razor, a quality shaving soap mixed in a bowl and applied with quality badger hair brush. Heating your face with a hot, moist washcloth will allow your pores to open which helps to achieve that baby bottom smooth face women love. As Drpumps said, tightening the skin in loose areas will definitely help to reduce bleeding. There is an art to shaving properly.
