I’ve been getting laser hair removal on my junk and ass for a while and it really works. What I’m wondering is if there are any good at home devices to use for touch ups. Been looking at the Braun ipl device. Anyone have any experience with it?

Hi man, I have a question. When you say you are getting laser hair removal “on your junk” do you mean the shaft of your penis? Are you going to a professional place to have it done? I have some hairs on the underside of my penis that irritate my wife’s vagina during sex and all I can do is pluck them, I can’t shave my cock its too dangerous. But I cannot find anything online that talks about using IPL on the shaft of a penis, if its safe, how to do it, what the strength level of the light pulses need to be or should be to avoid pain or make the IPL work, I cannot find anything on this. I’ve searched online for months. I really, really need to do something about these hairs. my wife is in menopause and her vagina is very fragile and if my hairs irritate her we can’t have sex again for like 5 or more days until she heals up. I pluck everything I can but some are blonde or translucent and I can’t see them at all and they wind up hurting her.

Shaving your junk is easy, many guys do it. Hot shower, sharp blade, lather up, pull skin tight and get after it.

Ad far as ipl goes I’ve found a number articles saying it’s safe for your junk. Now if the hairs are really lightly colored you may need to get electrolysis instead.

Exactly. I use the flamingo brand razors. Theyre the ladies brand of Harry’s brand razors. Harry’s brand shaving cream is really good too.

I also have some hairs on the shaft of my dick, and my girl hates it when she does oral. And I hate razor blades. I trim it with a machine, but it’s not a good solution. So I started using one of those IPL hair removal machines on my shaft (bought on Aliexpress). It has 5 levels of intensity, I use the strongest, because my skin is light. The pain is totally bearable, even at the strongest level, but if you find it bad you can lower the intensity.
It hasn’t done me any harm yet. I use it once a week, two months ago. So, from my experience, I can say it is safe. But I don’t know how effective it is. So far I haven’t noticed any hair loss. But I think that, unlike professional laser hair removal, this is something that will happen in the long time.

I’ve shaved my shaft in the past and I can do it, but I get the worst ingrown hairs from it. Really bad. Its not even a lot of hair, mainly my turkey neck area. Some stray hairs on the sides half way up, like 5 on one side and 5 or so on the other. Some really super tiny type hairs up the line on my underside. Some areas I can’t shave, I cut myself once. I have crazy facial hair believe me I know all about shaving been doing it for 30 years and no end in sight hahaha

I pluck all my hairs. It doesn’t really hurt at all. I get very few ingrown hairs from plucking, they are really rare. I have pretty sensitive skin, my neck looks like a Freddy Kruger movie after I shave, no matter what I do what I use timing anything at all, its been the same.

All the hot wraps I’ve endured over the years doing PE and pumping with hot rice sock wraps, I think I can probably handle the IPL on my shaft and especially the base of my shaft. From what everyone is saying it is totally bearable and I have way less worry.

So do y’all have the $100 and under ones, or the ones that cost like $300+ dollars? Wondering if a cheap one is even worth it. I have quite coarse black hair and it doesn’t come in super thick, there is space between all the follicles but not like huge gaps, so it makes a decent bush but at its longest and fullest you can see through it to the skin below. What I want to IPL on my penis is thin and more sparse than dense. I can spend $300+ but if its not needed and I can get away with something cheaper I’d try I guess.

If ita only a few hairs I’d say look into electrolysis

I’m circumcised and have hair up my shaft. Shaving with a razor is always dicey even with practice. Very difficult to get the light colored hairs. Cosmetically I’ve found an electric razor (manscape) with a guard gets the hair really short and won’t cut you. But it does not get the hair 100% gone obviously. I’ve also tried a depilatory cream, “No Hair Crew”. I don’t love it. If you put the cream on for too little time, nothing happens. If you put the cream on for too long, you get a red rash/burn. Although it does get some of the hairs, it never gets all of them. And the friction from sex is irritating if you recently used the cream, so I don’t recommend.

Some foreskin restoration guys say that the extra skin pushes the hair line back down lower toward the balls and the turkey neck gets lower. But I’m skeptical. I plan to do laser hair removal when the money is flowing.

I’ve done weeks of ipl to get rid of hair on my cock and it so far has stopped like maybe 20% of hair from growing back. The hairs are weaker when they grow back, but honestly I don’t think the device I have is going to do the job. I have to contact an electrolysis expert locally to take care of this more seriously. Maybe the $300+ ipl devices work better, or for real, but I’d rather have an expert do it.

It can get pretty intense. The ones on the top aren’t bad. The sides and under are sensitive as hell.

I used an epilator in the shower for a long time. Lots of soap made it easy to use, but it still was painful. Tolerable, but painful. That’s when I decided to spend the money on a Braun Silk Expert Pro 5. I spent around $360 for it and it’s the best money I’ve ever spent on personal grooming. I’m hair free from my neck down. DO NOT trust the cheap IPL devices because they can damage your skin. I used it 2-3 times a week for about 6 months and now I only need touch ups about once every 4-6 weeks. The regrowth is very sparse and thin. There are zero spots, zero bumps, zero ingrown hairs, and none of that “plucked chicken” appearance. I can’t recommend this Braun unit more. I’d buy it again no-questions-asked! I only wish I’d started using IPL 10 years ago!
