5% Rogaine to Canada?

Hi Guys,

I know there are some Canadians on this board, so I’m curious if anyone has successfully had 5% rogaine shipped to them in Canada? Their is really no reliable info on the net. I would appreciate information from fellow “balding” men, who have found an ebay, or other online vendor that’s able to get an order through to you. If there are any vendors on this board who sell the product and have success with cross-border shipments I’d love to hear from them also.

I can’t imagine you guys can’t get 5% rogaine, whats up with that?

Canada is super-retarded with approving “new” drug related products. It’s so depressing because 5% isn’t a new product. Still, I don’t think it will happen anytime soon. I respond really nicely to the 2%, which makes me think I could get away with a half dose of the 5.

However, there is a lot of controversy over whether it can squeak past customs. I’m not currently in a position to go get it myself right now either.

Our health care is awesome, but getting anything approved in this country is shit.

Just get someone to put 5% rogaine into a 2.5% bottle. Problem solved. Or if you plan to come to the US soon, do it yourself. Customs won’t be able to tell the difference.

If you can get it in the country I use this stuff and it works really well. I had went off Propecia and my hair was shedding big time but this really is bringing it back. They also have a 15% Minoxidil that worked great. Good luck.

Thanks for the idea Fantom. The problem with that idea is I would have to get someone I don’t know to do something shady, and pay them for it - which would amount to a 50/50 chance. I’m looking for a vendor with a reputation for doing this sort of thing, who delivers what they say they will. It’s strange to admit, but I don’t know anyone who would do a bottle swap.

Thanks for that link Dino, I bookmarked that link as that is a nice combo. 15% would kill me! After a few months of the 2% I started to get the odd erection difficulties.

You guys are so lucky, you can walk right down to Walmart and get this stuff. The only option for it is prescription here $80 for 2ml.

I just bought some more 2% for now, as the new hair goes away fast if you don’t use anything.

Don’t know about shipping in Canada, do believe that you can buy it at the pharmacy. Some back ground with rogain. McMaster University is locate in Hamilton Ontario. It’s a teaching hospital and research school. Before rogain was introduced to the market McMaster U did a study on rogain.

I was in that study, a nurse made a temp plate of my head the area that I was losing my hair. The university was using the double blink test, one set of subjects using rogain the other set using a placebo.

I was one of the subjects that had rogain. Every month I had to go in and the nurse would secure the temp plate to my head and proceed to count ALL of the hair within the temp plate. I grew hair, if I remember right it was in the hundreds of additional hair. Rogain worked and my little bald spot was no more.

However if you stop using rogain the hair which grew in due to the use falls out once the use of rogain is stopped.

Your choice is $60 per month for the rest of your life to buy rogain, $2000 hair piece or hair plugs (don’t know the cost of plugs). I settled to a razor and a can of shaving cream.
