Can somebody please evaluate whats wrong with my pain in my gut?

Can somebody please evaluate whats wrong with my pain in my gut?

Well, I think its a bladder problem really, but the pain is in my groin and slightly above which I call my gut. The problem didn’t start until I had to piss really really bad. Once I went, there was still pain but I can definitely tell I don’t have to urinate, it’s just a dull soreness that I would almost classify as pain. I have no idea what a bladder infection feels like, but that’s the first thought that came to mind. I can try to answer any questions you have to help diagnose me, but I am not going to see a doctor for some discomfort.

Also, completely off topic, but in the right Forum, what are the largest muscles in the body? I have a Bowflex, and I want to start exercising the largest muscles in my body for health reasons. What are these muscles, and what type of exercise on a Bowflex could I do to exercise these muscles?

Gluteus maximus - your buttocks - are the largest, I think. Or if it was the main thigh muscles.

You might want to check WebMD or similar sites for info on what bladder infections “should” seem like.

You’re saying you had no problems before this, it all started after you had to keep from pissing and finally was able to - and then there was a soreness that just wouldn’t go away after that?

Taped onto the dashboard of a car at a junkyard, I once found the following: "Good judgement comes from experience. Experience comes from bad judgement." The car was crashed.

Primary goal: To have an EQ above average (i.e. streetsmart, compassionate about life and happy) Secondary goal: to make an anagram of my signature denoting how I feel about my gains

Well, I was getting free drinks of Pepsi and I had to urinate, but held it for maybe 30 minutes and went. When I was done, I couldn’t tell at first that I had completely emptied my bladder but I did. Now its a soreness, for sure, that is directly behind my pubis and it hasn’t gone away. I’m gonna try to get some sleep, I didn’t know that 3 AM actually existed, status report in the morning.

I’ve had a bladder infection before and, from what I can remember, the only pain I had was when I urinated, but it could be different for others I suppose. When it moves into the kidneys is when there is constant pain.

Spinger240, with my bow-flex I got a muscle chart, routines and exercises. Do you not have one of these? If not I can give you info on exercises and routines. Or you could call 1-800-269-3539 and probably order a book. Looking at the muscle chart the biggest muscles are the pectoralis major (chest), trapezious (upper back), latissimus dorsi (lower back), gluteus maximus (ass).

Springer, from the circumstances in which your problem arose and by its location, I would imagine the sphincter that closes the flow of urine from your bladder is just sore and aches from having to clamp down on Pepsi for half an hour. Just like any sore muscle, it will recover in a few days. If there is still discomfort in more than three or four days, go to your MD.

For general health, using your Bowflex to target the largest muscle groups in your body is a great idea. You need to do exercises for each of the large muscle groups which also involve many smaller muscle groups as well:

It’s years since I’ve seen a Bowflex, but from memory you should be able to do:

Knee (Leg) Extensions: Quadriceps group of muscles (front of thigh)

Knee Curl: Hamstring group (back of thigh)

Squat: Just about every muscle in your body! But especially all your leg muscles.

Bench Press: mainly for the large pectoral muscles (chest) but also hit the anterior deltoids (front shoulders) and triceps (back of the upper arms).

Lat Pull Downs: for latissimus dorsi, but also teres major, rhomboids, trapezius (back muscles).

Seated Rows: Also for back muscles but hits them differently. Also biceps.

Upright Rows: All deltoids (shoulder muscles) and also biceps.

Overhead Press: Delts and triceps.

Add some abdominal work and you have a very basic program which targets your whole body and does not take long to do. Do it 3x a week (Mon, Wed, Fri).

Start with one set of each exercise for 8-12 reps for the first month, then do two sets of each exercise.

It’s the resistance exercise equivalent of the Newbie PE Routine. If you kept doing it for life, it would give you a great workout, but after a couple of months you will have got into training and want to change exercises, try new things etc.

Good luck.

Usually, if you have a bladder infection your urine will be cloudy, and/or there will be odd things floating in it. And possibly smelly. Try peeing into a jar and check - Not after cumming as there can be odd floaters from that.

Remember also that Pepsi is acid in character so holding it in for a long time may have caused minute tears in the skin and they were irritated by the acids

The worst scenario is kidney stones, but usually you get pain in the kidneys as well - but not always at first. and the pain usually kicks in just as you finish.

.
Are you targeting large muscle groups in order to gain mass and strength?

If so, you’ll need to do heavy squats, dead lifts, cleans, and rows, and barbells are the only way to pursue these exercises effectively.

I don’t mean to bash Bowflex, just that it’s not worthwhile for building muscle.

But if it gets worse or you have any other symptoms don’t wait.

By the time the Pepsi gets to ones bladder, it isn’t Pepsi anymore and any acid in it would have been metabolized.

Regarding the pain, I’m thinking prostate. If it persists, see a physician.

I googled bowflex routines and found this, you could probably find something better, if you took the time.

To be honest West I noticed that after I had written it. So I cheated and changed it to acids as there is uric acid about :)

Psst! The link is at the bottom of the page :bigwink:

It could be prostatitis. I think you should see a GP or a urologist ASAP.

I think the issue here is $$$. Seeing a doctor in the states without insurance is very expensive. But I have to agree you should see a doctor.

But you should note, It is likely a bladder infection. If it hurts when you ejaculate it is likely prostatitis, check and see if there is any blood in the ejaculate or an unusual oder, foul smelling, green cum.

If it is in deed bladder infection your piss will smell quite awful as well. Drink plenty of water I know this may hurt but you got to flush it out somehow. In the meantime you should go see a urologist.

The exersize Firegoat gave you sounds like a great sensible easy plan to follow.

Springer240 -

Sounds like it could be prostatitis or a similar inflammatory reaction in your prostate. Is it painful to get an erection? Is there discomfort with masturbation, sex, or orgasm/ejaculation? Is your ejaculation any darker in color or different than usual? I’d suggest and anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen or naproxen and some warm sitz baths (draw 6 to 8” of water in a tub quite warm, but not hot enough to singe your nuts! LOL) and sit for a few minutes a couple times daily (good time to jack off also, which could actually help by relieving congestion in your prostate and elsewhere in your pelvis). If you aren’t improved by now (your original post was a week ago), or if it worsens, or you get ANY fever, or if j/o and ejaculation are painful, DO see your family doc or internist, or even a public health clinic.
