Circumcision

Hey guys I’m uncircumsized and doin the jelqing techniques are difficult and painful for me so I’ve been thinking about getting circumsized. Is it worth it and I’ve heard that after the procedure, you lose sensitivity, will this help me last longer too? Please help

I have a friend who got circumsized at age 45. He is totally happy with the change.

But, think it out.

I recommend looking into it a lot before doing it. Look at the following websites: sexasnatureintendedit , NOCIRC, NORM, TLC Tugger, and many others.

I am circumcised and really wish I was uncut. I have been trying to restore my foreskin for 18 months now.

Good luck.

With the exception of hanging I think being uncut would make almost all forms of PE much easier. It would help if you explained what was actually causing pain and where. I don’t see any way jelqing could be painful being uncut unless your jelqing towards you instead of away from you.

For every guy like that I think there are dozens mourning the loss of all that sensual tissue.

The rate of elective adult circumcision is like 2 of every 1000 intact men choosing it. Over 90% of the non-Muslim world does not circumcise.

I did it with 48 years.

Saludos.

Yes and no. There really haven’t been a lot of awesome studies on circumcision, but wikipedia does a pretty good job of summarizing what’s known and it looks like overall people are more satisfied if they get circumcised, but look for yourself:

I’m actually considering getting circumcised myself, so I’ve been doing a decent amount of research in the area. It’s a very tough decision and I wish I was circumcised when I was a baby so I didn’t have to think about it now haha.

I hear from a few guys every week pissed as hell that they got talked into circumcision by doctors or girlfriends in their teens or 20s.

Clinically, I would point you to a study of Korean men cut for medical reasons (so you’d expect them to be "relieved" of symptoms and happy with the outcome). Most said sex wasn’t much different afterward, but of those that claimed a difference, "got worse" outnumbered "got better" by 3 to 1.

I think it’s important to note the difference between temporary effects like a ticklish sensation of the freshly denuded glans, and permanent effects like the loss of half the sensual nerve endings, loss of 15 square inches of sexual interface, and the loss of the frictionless gliding action.

I completely scoff at research like Bailey’s where he asked (without measuring anything) if men were satisfied. Circumcision-seeking men - both before and after the amputation - reported 99% satisfaction (actually the intact men had the higher numbers, but statistically it was a tie). Most other surveys of satisfaction don’t break 90%. Bailey measured nothing.

Sounds like you’ve done your research. Do you think circumcised guys last longer? That, it’s easier to keep clean, and lower std chances are the three reasons I’m considering it.

TLCTugger, if theres a loss of half the sensual nerve endings, why bother with foreskin restoration? To me it seems foreskin restoration will never or even come close to the real foreskin sensation that was lost during (child)circumcison, or am I not getting something here?

"Adult circumcision appears to result in worsened erectile function (p = 0.01), decreased penile sensitivity (p = 0.08), no change in sexual activity (p = 0.22) and improved satisfaction (p = 0.04). Of the men 50% reported benefits and 38% reported harm. Overall, 62% of men were satisfied with having been circumcised."

Considering that circumcised men in that study did the surgery for medical reasons, my humile consideration is that those results are a proof that one should not go thrugh that surgery if there aren’t specifical issues.

I am circumcised, and I have great sex. I have no issues with sensitivity. In fact, I still work on finding ways to last LONGER. So, if the uncircumcised unit makes the glans MORE sensitive, then I don’t want any part of it. I thank my parents, (mentally), that they cut me at birth.

I have no reservations or anger about it. I even have a slight turkey neck, but it never impacts my sex life in a negative way. If you want to get cut, get cut. I have heard, though, that recovery can be tough, and that there are some risks involved.

Paraphrased: It is not the critic who counts: The credit belongs to the man in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood, who strives valiantly, who errs and comes up short again and again, who, at the best, knows the triumph of high achievement, and who, at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.

Another point to take in account could be : where do you live? I mean, in USA most of men are cut; so the way women could tend to find a penis “health/beauty” looking could be a cut one.

Like the way men who were grown in Country where cut of clitoris was normal could find a pussy better looking without the clitoris.

Adult circumcisions don’t seem to be as successful (aesthetically) as those performed on infants - take a look at some of the threads and pics of members here and elsewhere who have undergone this procedure. I’m sure that time will make it look better, but some of them look downright botched.

Also, I’m sceptical about some of the statistics offered. I would wager that a significant percentage of men who opt for adult circumcision do so for medical reasons - ie there’s something wrong. Obviously, if the organ is not functioning properly or is diseased, and circumcision alleviates the problem, then patients will be more satisfied with the results. And there are the emotional aspects to consider - how many men who are circumcised for aesthetic, cultural or religious reasons would be willing to admit they may have made a mistake given the “irreversible” nature of the procedure? It’s a bit like admitting to regretting a tattoo.

My opinion is that “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”. Surgery always carries risks - you could well end up ruining your life for the sake of vanity. Whatever your choice, don’t enter into it lightly - do your due diligence!

Personally, I’m opting for the opposite route - restoration. Lack of sensitivity in the glans has always been a significant problem for me which I attribute to my circumcision as an infant. If a foreskin helps increase the sensitivity then it will indeed be beneficial in my case. If it becomes too sensitive there are ways to temporarily desensitise it but I doubt that will be a problem - it’s much easier to desensitise than it is to regain lost sensitivity. It’s an emotional personal journey and one which still poses many unanswered questions. Will I like the look of my penis with a foreskin? Will my foreskin be so stinky that it could be classed as a biological weapon? What about my partner? “Hey honey, come and have a look at this … I’ve grown a foreskin!”. “Eek!! Cut off! Cut it off! You’re not bringing that foul thing anywhere near me!”. Questions …..

"Pertinaciously pursuing a penis of preposterously prodigious proportions." What a mouthful!

Why should the foreskin stink?
