Cocoa Butter
Some of you may have experienced something like what I’ve been going through recently: you’re all fired up and set to go into your routine but due to skin issues you have to hold off.
My problems started with infected ingrown hairs, which in turn led to skin drying out, flaking, and becoming just generally a bit itchy and unpleasant. This was in turn compounded by the fact that I’m an all-day wrapper (using Homedics Magnetic TheraP wristbands) which probably sucks the moisture right out of the skin.
And then a magic solution came my way.
It’s Cocoa Butter, and it’s available at the local pharmacy or grocery, usually on the bottom shelf under all the expensive ‘foo-foo’ brands that smell pretty or whatever. Cocoa Butter has been used in places like the Caribbean for decades, and although the co-ingredients look mostly the same (stearic acid, glycerin) the difference is phenomenal, at least for me.
Not only did the dryness and such go away, but the stretch marks around the base that many PE’ers know all too well are actually *going away*! The skin is softer and more supple in general, leading me to think it’s going to take stretching from hanging a lot better now.
Just thought I’d share that in case any of y’all are having similar problems.
