It’s a very common problem. I suspect it’s been discussed here dozens of times.

I am sure it has. I just want to know why it makes HIM lose an erection. I have read others reasons and still don’t understand why when it is really important to do so. The art is finding a condom that still allows you to have pleasure or fits or whatever excuse is out there. Just like learning new positions, finding ways to protect yourself doesn’t always have to end up with a loss of being aroused. Especially since AIDS have gone up for the first time in 10 years in the United States.

I’ve had that problem plenty of times. I think it’s mostly because I initially used college distributed condoms, which are so thick I could slam my dick in a door and not feel anything (Disclaimer: I am not willing to actually prove this.)

Thinner condoms make it more pleasureable, but the fact is, most girls that I’ve been with have been on the pill, so condoms haven’t been totally required, though still used in some cases. Having been used to sex without condoms, the sight of one causes me to withdraw immediately. I don’t know why, it’s all a mental game for me, I’m sure.

Masturbation with a condom on is the best way to get used to it. It sucks, it’s somewhat annoying, and it takes away the pleasure of maturbation for a while but the payoff is worth it.

I know this is really elementary, but try putting a bit of lube in the condom. It improves the experience considerably.

My issue is that I just lose it when I go to put it on, and since a past incident where I lost it and couldn’t get it back, it just makes it worse in my head.

J Rock, are the condoms you’re using too tight? Several guys have mentioned this as a cause of erection loss. Switching to bigger condoms solved the problem.
