Don't let ED rule you

Fellow PE’rs with ED, you don’t have to live without erections anymore and with time and patience you can get it up again. I should know I use to have ED. I am diabetic/hypothyroid if I can do it you can do it.

Thundersplace was my salvation for dealing with ED.

There are medications that deal with ED. Viagra,Cialis,Levitra.
There are also many supplements that correct ED.
Ginkgo Biloba, Alpha Arginine ketoglutarate, Golden root.
Anything in the Gensing Family. Some of these herbs even lower blood pressure and blood sugar a help for diabetics like myself.

Good, kp, but this could not be true for all kinds of ED, don’t you think? I mean, there are many possible causes of ED, and nor PE neither herbals or medicines can help in some case.

However, I’ m really happy for you. Would you say what’s the best exercise against ED, in your opinion? I vote for dry-jelqs.

I’m afraid your right if ED goes to long it can be permanent.

Other causes:
Andopause (hypogonadism).
Hypothyroid disease.
High blood pressure.
High cholesterol (Debateble as a cause).
Anemia.
Kidney disorders.
Medications the list is to long to name them all but antihistamines probably top the list.
Too much beer.

Pumping tried and true.
Erect kegels and kegels are probably the best PE exercise to reverse ED.
Edging and ballooning.
Wet and dry jelqing

Not necessarily. Supplements can aid men with very mild ED symptoms, not correct the root cause except in rare cases.

Your possibly correct if I were to discontinue the supplements I take the ED could return. Just like if one were to discontinue Cialis the ED may return.
As far as ED Is concerned mine was not mild. I could ejaculate without getting an erection. I would say that is some major ass ED. So I would have to disagree supplements did effectively treat my severe ED.
However I don’t think diabetes was the sole cause of my ED. I was on several medications to control blood sugar and blood pressure. The blood pressure medication Lisinopril can cause ED. Advandia for diabetes can cause high blood pressure which in turn causes ED. But the biggest contributor to my ED was Nuerontin. I was taken it for nueropathy, that’s where your fricken feet fall asleep and stay that way for days and months.

For high blood pressure I take Alpha Arginine ketoglutarate 6 grams per day. It is also good for helping to reverse ED and loweres Blood sugar as well.
I also take Green Tea, great for really high blood pressure and repairing the beta cells of the pancreas (Not proven yet, still speculative)
Ginkgo Biloba Anti aggregate, I layman’s terms this the blood. Great for erections at doses of 120 to 240 really works good for me I take with all the other shit I take.

Now that I have your attention what root causes?
What rare cases.
Would diabetes or heart disease be a root cause?
I know if all else fails testosterone therapy may work.
Perhaps severe nerve or artery damage.
Estrogenic compounds lurking in the atmosphere, water, soil?
Perhaps an implant would be more suitable.

I don’t want to argue but if we banter back and forth like a debating think tank it may help someone with ED. I’m for all forms of treatment from herbs to allopathic remedies to testosterone replacement therapy.

Kingpole - thanks for starting this thread. You mentioned that if ED continues for too long it can become permanent. I realize “too long” can vary from person to person but are you talking years or months?

Also, you wrote “As far as ED Is concerned mine was not mild. I could ejaculate without getting an erection. I would say that is some major ass ED.” My ED is the same and I believe it’s been that way for about a year while the wife and I hoped it was a temporary thing caused by stress or other mental issue.

In what way is Arginine ketoglutarate better than plain arginine?

I’m not arguing with you at all, KP, only pointing out that that it is a stretch to say that supplements can turn all ED around.

By “rare cases” (above) I mean guys who have ED which cannot be traced to any particular organic cause and whose ED is not severe. Many of us suffer from Performance Anxiety, for example, which is psychological. If ginkgo helps a guy to feel more randy and helps him over that, terrific. And, if ginkgo lessens somewhat, temporarily, the severity of a man’s diabetic ED, terrific. But in the many cases of organic ED - arterial insufficiency, venous leakage, nerve damage, medication damage, etc., etc., supplements help some so long as you take them.

On the other hand, there is ample evidence being published that some regimented and continuous programs of ED drugs can alter endothelial cell efficiency in a positive and permanent way. In some cases. But the reality is that when we have severe ED we are all bring many different organic issues to the ED table. Supplements do not address the base cause of the ED and remove it; but some of them can help improve the situation.

TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) is effective only in those (3 percent of all with ED) who require it. And, TRT can be a sort of bumpy road for some patients: high function after it kicks in it followed by lows of energy levels and mood when it wears off. Still, it’s a great therapy, when appropriate and well-supervised.

(Psycologiacal ED can be treated with Golden root or Gensing. Provided the cause is due to depression. I have a seperate thread on Gensing and golden root.)

(Yes, I know I think viagra is great and as the tweek out the bugs and inprove on it it may replace all blood pressure medications as well.
Viagra combined with a natural supplement like ginkgo would be very detremental to ED.)

I know, it can be disapointing but also hypothyroid disease is a hidden if not major contributor to ED. Thyroid function test do not always indicate there is a problem when indeed there could be.

Do you have any other information to add it would be very useful.

Thanks Advocet8

What is the range of your blood sugar?
How is your blood pressure?
Do you have neuropathy?
Are you currently on any ED drug or natural supplement.

I’m talking years, don’t let ED go to long. See your doctor, is he/she aware of the ED.

Stop smoking, smoking contributes to ED.

It makes you feel like an IT. This is my personal feelings about ED, not sure if every man with ED feels the same way.

Unfortunately that is they way we are wired. We are more than a penis. Ed is often an indicator of other health issues.
