So basically, here is the deal. I’m 38 and about 6 months ago I noticed a drastic decrease in semen when I ejaculate. I’ve been taking the “holy grail of cum load increase” supplement stack found on this site. Basically Zinc and Lechitin (along with a multi and vit c). This seemed to help for a bit, but now I’m kind of back to where I was. I use to have a decent load, but now it almost non existent. Should I be concerned? Is this old age setting in?

I haven’t gone, but I guess I can go to the DR. Just not sure what to say and am pretty sure of what the conversation would go like.

Dr: thats normal for your age, don’t worry about
Me: ummm ok.

I was really just wondering if anyone has gone through this before or have any insight into this.

How many cc’s do you ejaculate and how much water do you drink per day?

The reason I ask is because I thought I was low at 2cc. I then increased my water intake to 60+ oz per day. Volume went up to 4.5cc. Normal volume is between 2 and 5 cc. I think I was just chronically dehydrated and that caused my low volume, but even then it was still within normal limits at 2cc.

Doctors have most likely heard it all before so just tell it like it is.

Doc: Ok, let’s do some tests.

As 6to8 said I would drink more water and see if that helps. Also try holding off on ejaculating for a few days, I believe I read that for the average man it takes 7 days to reach a maximum cum load.

Also you are approaching 40 and sperm production and quality normally start to decrease after that age. Not that you cannot have healthy children after that just that it becomes more difficult from your end and that the risk of genetic defects increases after 40 (on average) for men.

Another thing I would recommend is checking your testosterone levels. You can increase them by heavy resistance training and having more muscle mass. How fit are you?

I’m having the exact same problem. My loads have never been stellar but over the last year they have really started dropping off. I’m in my late 30’s so I guess that can happen. I tried the “holy grail” mix and didn’t see any appreciable results, that is until I stopped taking it and the drop off has been pretty crazy. I’m drinking lots of water, ramping up exercise, tried edging for days on end and in the end my loads just aren’t where they used to be. I guess maybe I’ll resign myself to just not pumping out a lot of juice anymore unless there are some better suggestions. Watch out on the Zinc intake btw, it’s very easy to consume too much through supplementation. According to NIH the tolerable upper limit is 40 mg, meanwhile the stack of supplements but dietary consumption had me regularly at or above that.
