Hairloss and tribulus terrestris

I have read that some supplements, like horny weed and tribulus terrestris may cause alopecia (hairloss) as a side effect. In that case, is hairloss permanent or hair will grow back again when you stop taking that supplements?

Tribulus do not have PROVEN side effects when taken in a smart way. Dont worry about hairloss.

I dont agree with that. Tribulus has no KNOWN side effects. There have been no long or mid term studys done to measure hair lose caused by Tribulus.. and I dont think there ever will be. The problem with hair lose is its VERY gradual and you wont notice it until its significant. Is hair loss perminent?, it depends, but generaly you want to try to avoid it as much as you can. Some hairlose like a receading hairline MAY be gone forever but then again I cant say that with 1000000000000000% certainty. If your worryed about hairlose or your hair is starting to thin start living a healty lifestyle that includes EXERCISE and a good diet. Stay away from drugs and alcohol and you wont need the horny goat weed.

Never heard of that one.

Can we agree that “no proven side effect” and “no known side effect” is pretty the same thing ? :P

If it encourages more free testosterone then it could in theory contribute in some small way. Then again exercise will do that too, and nobody is going to advise against exercise to save hair. I would say if it affects it then it’s only in a very small way, certainly not enough to negate any hairloss prevention protocol you may have.
