wanted to know this…
I have sometimes a little herpes on my lips
some years it cames out if I have a fever
some years not.
I have cured with zoovirac…

Wanted to know if I can trasmet this
if I do oral sex to my girl
even if in that period is not active on me.

I believe not, but I would like to be sure!
THere is some one expert out there?

Its quite possible to spread HSV via an active sore but a lot harder during a period of inactivity. You are probably relatively safe when it is inactive though. This page mentions transmission through skin cell shedding during periods of inactivity.

I am curious. I have seen children with fever blisters/cold sores on the lips and have been told they were herpes. This one boy would get it like you do, when he is running a fever or something.

My question is this:
Is it possible for a child who is not having sex or kissing someone, to get herpes?
Can fever blisters be just fever blisters and not herpes?
Are cold sores always considered herpes?

Is it just the lips or can it be in other areas around the mouth, such as the above the top lip, below the bottom lip, directly under the nose.

Children kiss people all the time, they could get HSV-1 from their parents easily enough.

There are lots of oral infections beyond herpes.

I have read is diffivult to take from objects…personals and so on.
In the last years I have not had
the virus active, maybe the cure with acyclovir was good.

Yes the lesions can be on the mouth
on the lips, but also in the surroundings…
even under the nose or the eyes, I’ve read

Oral herpes is generally different form genital herpes. HSV-1 is the oral vairant and HSV=2 is the genital variant. You can get either version in either location but they are very much reduced in their ability to cause problems, so assuming you have HSV-1 and you transmit it to your partners genitals it may cause an outbreak but probably won’t cause repeated outbreaks.

Be very wary of any claims for a cure, the virus doesn’t base itself in the mouth or the genitals.
