When I was a kid and had lice on my scalp, my mom just shaved me bald—I mean REALLY bald. It took care of the headlice. I don’t know about pubic lice, because I have never had them, however, I would be inclined to think they can’t be that much different.
Maybe you should consider shaving all your pubes completely off—maybe even your upper leg hair too. I figure that can’t really harm you—especially if you need to do some kind of treatment/ cream/ whatever on your skin.
I usually keep all my pubes completely shaved off (yes I read the post on pubic hair grooming, but it’s just not my thing). The only time I have girls complain about my pubes being shaved is when I don’t pluck the shaft. Things can get pokey down their if their vagina tends to be dry. I have had at least one girl that was ultra dry down there and was almost incapable of getting wet. She mentioned herself that she had a dryness issue. I figure it’s not me—I have had plenty of girls stay incredibly wet, so they don’t even notice… Of course if you’re wearing a condom it’s a non issue.
Also, I have noticed, especially on my armpits—when I keep things shaved clean, less fungus, mold, and bacteria build up—probably because there’s less surface area for them to attach to. It’s really hard to get body odor in areas with no hair. On the other hand, on those rare occasions that I have let my arm pit hair really grow out, I have noticed it would sometimes get BO I just couldn’t get rid of (that’s where my razor comes in). I keep my pubes shaved completely off most of the time for the same reason.
