Can someone explain me how does it work? Does it really prevent it? Or you can still get infected?

- Do you have to take it everyday?

Also why is it so popular in Brazil?

There is 2 possibilities.

- Ongoing daily basis

There is still some very minor chances getting infected i f you don’t take your pills correctly.
Generally prep could even preclude an infected to transmit the virus

From the moment you take them you will need to do time to time some blood work..
Because some of the prominent bad side effects are kidney overload and bones fragility.
So basically your physician will need to check that you numbers remain in line.

In the States to have get PRep, you have to have be clear of HIV and Hepatitis B and C.

How it works is pretty cool. What HIV binds and attacks a very specific cell inside the human body. It binds to the the CD4 cell inside the body. PReP beefs up the cell walls of the CD4 cells to make them impenetrable to HIV. Since HIV only attacks this one specific cell and you make the cell immune to HIV, if HIV does enter the body it can’t do anything and die off quite fast.
