No, it means that “Magnum” condoms are hardly any wider than regular condoms and should fit a guy with 5” girth just fine. I’m sure Magnums sell very nicely because they appeal to guys’ egos.

Yes, if those figures are accurate, they illustrate what I’m talking about. The difference between a regular and an XL, in unstretched circumference of the condom, is 0.16”.

Para, do you think that the sizes given in the reviews in the site yo gave are credible? Sizes like 17inches length by almost 10inches girth are dam near impossible I would think. What about you guys?

No, the 0.16” is the actual circumference (girth) difference. The “width” figures cited are for the condom laid flat: i.e., they are half the circumference. If these width figures were for the condoms when in “tube” shape, you’d need a 6+” girth to fit into regular condoms (2.04*pi = 6.41)! :)

These are the circumference of condoms inflated with air and measured with a tape measure by myself. I’ve posted pictures of them being measured here before.

“Regular” size - 4.75” girth
Magnum - 5.25” girth
Magnum XL - 5.5” girth

If by “inflated with air” you mean “made into cylindrical shape without stretching of the latex,” then that would mean that regular-sized condoms would invariably slip off of all men who have girths under 4.75” (40% of men?). This seems rather unlikely. If by “inflated with air” you mean stretched out, then you aren’t stretching them very hard: a regular condom can be stretched to fit over a Coke can, easily, without breaking.

I think attaching the condoms to a pressure gauge, and inflating them to the same pressures would be the solution :up:

One suggestion from a guy with a little girth is magnums blow ass for sex. Period. It feels like you are fucking a rubber not a vagina. With my 5.7 girth I can still wear trojan-enz and it feels much better although I cannot unroll it all the way down which kinda scares me a little.

The figures provided are in width with the condom laid down flat, so there is a top layer of material and a bottom layer of material. Think of it as a circle that has been compressed (or stretched) until it has become the thinnest possible oval. So you add the width of the top and bottom - or, more simply since they’re the same, double the laid flat width measurement to get the total circumference of material:

The difference in circumference between regular and XL sizes available in stores is double the width difference of 0.16”, which would be 0.32” difference - not a lot, but a fair margin of extra comfort between an average 5” girth and the approximately 90th percentile 5.4” girth; and obviously the circumference figures below allow for about a 20% stretch factor for tightness:
