Effect of near-infrared laser treatment on improving erectile function in rats with diabetes mellitus - PubMed
"Results: Recovery of erectile function of varying degrees was observed in the NIR treatment groups, and radiant exposure of 4 J/cm2 achieved optimal results. The NIR4J group showed improvement in mitochondrial function and in morphology in DM rats, and it was found that OS levels were significantly reduced by NIR exposure. The tissue structure of the CC was also improved by NIR exposure. The proteomics analysis confirming multiple biologic processes had been changed by DM and NIR"

Anybody know how to translate 4 J/cm2 into a treatment plan with 808nm lasers?

Interesting. Hopefully when they publish the full article it won’t be behind a paywall.

808nm lasers are a thing, apparently. I hope there was more to selecting that frequency and power level than a couple of drunk researchers saying, “I hate those damned mice, let’s zap their naughty bits with lasers and see what happens.”

Pretty sure there are more studies out there, with humans! Those are the reason why I have often suggested NIR over FIR.
