A year and a half back I had unprotected oral sex with a prostitute.the biggest mistake of my life.a couple of days later I noticed swellings and redness in the meatus and I immediately went to a general physician and told him, he made me take a blood test and a urine test.the test results came back normal except there was slight pus in the urine from the urine test.the doctor prescribed certain antibiotics like azithral and also a cream to apply on the meatus.after the course of the antibiotics I went back and the doctor told me I’m cured and he didn’t even tell me what I had.the swellings in the meatus subsided and doesn’t appear anymore but my meatus looks different now from what it was before I had oral sex.there is a tremendous amount of guilt and anxiety ,I think about this and repent everyday.I want to get on with my life but this incident is holding me back even though it has been a year and a half now I’m not able to get over it.still at the back of my mind I feel I’m not cured and I have some std.I also don’t want my parents to find out.the only symptoms I had were the swellings, but now it’s gone and also rarely I experience a burning sensation when masturbating(when I come).I also heard sometimes STD don’t respond to antibiotics and this makes me even more anxious and worried.please help me out I would really really appreciate it!

I think you have gotten yourself into some kind of brainfuck. I mean, the symptoms are gone so why be bothered about having had an STD over a year ago?

What you heard about STDs resistant to antibiotics is only partially true. The odds of your still having an STD (if you had one) are very, very low. And if you did have one, you’d have very noticable and unpleasant symptoms.

You can stop repenting.

The burning sensation you sometimes notice is caused by the normal collision of ejaculate - which has a non-acidic pH - with urine remaining in your urethra which is acidic.

Further, unless you are underage (18), doctors do not report STDs to your parents. In fact, most write you up with something like “non-specific urethritis,” even if you are underage. If that diagnosis appears on some health insurance feed-back, it does not alarm a parent.
