Quiting Smoking

Quiting Smoking

Just wanted to give my experience with quiting smoking and erectile quality as I know it is a topic that has been discussed on this forum before.

Now I do not know if these results are completely due to me quiting smoking, but considering I have not changed any other habits to speak of and I have yet to start PE :( I think it is safe to make that assumption.

I quit smoking soon after my birthday in September. As of recently I have noticed a considerable increase in random erections as well as substantial increase in erectile quality. Also I very rarely got morning wood, in fact almost never if you do not consider a piss boner morning wood (I don’t). Now I get a hard on about three times a week. That is still below what I guess is normal, but I don’t really care considering I wasn’t even having them before.

So in a nutshell QUIT SMOKING. Sure everyone is well aware that smoking effects erectile quality, I was just amazed that in such a sort time there has been some effect. This could all be due to something else, but considering most of the variables in my life have stayed the same besides the smoking I feel it has played some part.

For those who are interested I am 24 years old, 215 pounds 6’2” (was 185 when I smoked so I am even FATTER now and still better boners) and smoked from age 15 until recently (>9 years).

I agree, quit smoking, it’ll most likely help your dick. I thought that I had hurt my penis a few years ago PEing, while using a noose type stretcher, because my erection quality quickly became not what it used to be. That was shortly after I began smoking. a few years later and after trying to quit dozens of times, I noticed that everytime I could quit for more than about 36 hours, I would get spontanious erections like I had before I started smoking, then when I started again that would stop. Now that I have not been smoking for 2 weeks, I am positive that for me, smoking defenitly caused my poor erections. And yeah a drawback to quitting is most people gain weight, but do some working out and you should be able to turn that into muscle. I put on 8 pounds since I quit.

How many were you smoking a day?

You have to smoke really a lot to not get a boner at such young age because of smoking. I mean 20-30 cigarettes a day at least.

Congratulations. Now you need to focus on fighting those ugly urges and staying quit. In three months you will feel like you never smoked in your life.

10-20 depending on the day. If I was parting 2 packs like nothing.

Like I said it could have been something else but it is the only thing that has really changed and it actually took until November to notice a difference.

I just started Chantrix and hoping it works. No bad side effects so far…

That is what I used. Only need a one month supply. Been smoke free since September. I am sure everyone is different, but it worked wonders for me. Good luck, quiting is a bitch. I actually found the mental cravings (social, habitual, etc…) much worse that the physical.

Good for you man. I’m trying to stop smoking too, but it’s not easy.
I currently smoke about 20 cigarettes/day and my peak was when I was 18 years old smoking approx. 80 cigarettes/day. I’m 25 years old and I smoke since I was 15 years old.

I have to quit smoking.

That’s some kind of record, I guess.

Congrats! Not only will it benefit your health, but you’ll have more money in your pocket too.

My grandfather and my grandmother used to smoke. Grandfather quit at the age of 50. Grandmother never quit. He died at 72 years of age later for lung cancer. She died at 88 years of age and never quit.
