Recovery after circumcision

Hey there all, had a circumcision yesterday!. Not because I wanted to but because of medical reasons, I had very bad phimosis and have had various problems for as long as I can remember. I’m pretty sure I had no real other option as my foreskin literally could not retract at all.

Anyway I think it’s healing alright but wondered whether anyone could give me advice as to the symptoms of infection. What are the first signs? How long till I can have sex again?! When the stitches dissolve? I have looked at the other posts on this issue but didn’t really find anything directly answering these questions.

the symptoms of infection— redness, heat, pus, extreme tenderness. When I say redness, I mean sunburn red, and the area will be hot.

How long till I can have sex again— what did the doctor say? Follow his advice.

When the stitches dissolve?—-Probably in a week or two.

I meant full and quick.

Thanks for the advice and support! It looks fine from the top, IE. From where I look down, but the underside is not nice. The wound on the underside is a bit yellow but I think as this is only the third day I should just see how it goes. My circumcision looks very different to Aussie guys.. His looks far more painful! I think my cut was closer to the head than his. Do you think I should wash it in salt water? Is the slightly yellow wound on the underside anything to worry about? I would call my doctor but it’s a weekend!

It’s strange Aussie guy received some completely different advice to me, he was told to have baths, I was told to avoid this and have showers. This is such pain!
