Urology Tests
What up. I might have to go to a urologist next week if my EQ doesn’t improve. I’m in college, broke and I have no insurance. So, I’m going to have to pay for everything out of pocket. The price for a consultation and urine test fits between $150 - $200 here in Houston. This price doesn’t include tests they might have to do.
I’ve already selected a urologist to speak to, but I was wondering if you all could help me by telling me the exact name of the test that has to be done to check certain conditions, that way I can calculate how much everything will turn out to be. The receptionists are usually jerks and if I try to explain my condition over the phone, they act like dumb asses. For example, yesterday I called one urologist and asked his receptionist, “I don’t know the whole name of the test, but it has the word doppler in it. To check for blood flow”. His response “What?? Uh — they only do that for hearts.” I could have argued that he was wrong, but I didn’t want to. So, by knowing the name of the tests that I want to take, I’ll be able to assess the amount that I’ll have to pay and help the doctor do his job. I have a feeling what the problem maybe if it’s not over training.
I don’t need prices. Just the names of the tests. I am well aware that they may say “nothing is wrong, just rest”, but I would still like to know the names of the tests so that I can be absolutely sure. Maybe some will have the same procedure, I’m not sure, but if you could help me with this I would greatly appreciate it.
For example
Venous leakage - dopler sonogram
The ones I would like to know are
Nerve damage -
Thrombosed vein -
Necrosis -
Capillary damage -
Lymph damage -
Ligament damage -
P.S. - I have used the search function to try to find this stuff out, but no one talks about the name of test. They just mention that it can be tested.
P.P.S. - Can a mod please place this in the main forum? I think a lot of people can benefit from knowing this and I would like to get as many answers as possible. They come very slowly in the injury board.
Thanks guys.
These days I think I DO have a pretty big dick
