Viagra for women will be available in five years

FRANKFURT (AFP) - A women’s version of the anti-impotence drug Viagra will be available in five years, the head of US chemical giant Pfizer, Henry McKinnell, said in an interview.

“At the latest, the drug will be on the market in five years,” McKinnell told the weekly Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung.

He said research on the new drug was running at full swing, but he did not explain what effect it would have on women who take it.

The current version of the best-selling drug Viagra comes in the form of a blue pill and is used to treat erectile dysfunction or impotence in men.

“version” of Viagra, then they say new drug. The story contradicts itself.

I think what they mean by version is, that us males get a pill for when our dicks do not want or can’t perform. Women maybe will get a pill to say, be more horny, or wet, etc.

But it isn’t related chemically to Viagra, a totally new drug, but both related to sex.

This is my own theory of course, I could be totally wrong.

Wouldn’t the female equivalent to Viagra just be plain ol’ lube?

An erection is needed for sex. Viagra gives you that. For a woman, being wet is necessary for sex, so lube would be used.

Viagra does work on women. I split a pill with my girlfriend once and she said it did do something for her. It’s real physical arousal, not just “mechanical” arousal (i.e. lubrication). The clit is basically like a tiny penis, it gets erect and more sensitive. If your girl takes a long time to climax, Viagra will help in her “getting there” quicker and will enhance the orgasm for her as well. She also said that it did in fact make her feel “horny”.

Yeah like I was saying earlier, it might be for sexual dysfunction, which I think they say like 40% of women suffer from. I’ve had a partner who had it, and she really didn’t know what to do about it. She admitted the problem, just wasn’t horny.

I blame it on the birth control pills she took, because it occurred right after she started taking them. I know those things fuck with hormones and such. So a female viagra for that would have been a godsend.

Good news though, western medicine is not all that bad (kind-of :D )
