Watching a bad Pap smear

Okay guys,

I have decided to put up a kind of public service announcement about the need to make sure your women are getting Pap smears from their doctors on a regular basis and not ignoring them if they come back bad because they think they are false positives.

Mrs 7 had a pap smear come back with what she believed was “false positive” result. Because Mrs 7 is smarter than any doctor she decided to ignore the result and wait for her next checkup to do another one. 6 months goes by and she gets another bad pap. This time her doctor says why did you wait until now to get another test? She said she assumed it was a false positive. He was pissed at her and I think at his office for not following up more closely. He ordered another pap (right then) and it also came back showing something out of whack. Within a few days he performed a biopsy of her cervix, which meant taking a chunk of her cervix out and having it tested. (On a minor side note, it also meant 10 days of no vaginal sex). The test results of the biopsy wouldn’t be available for 10 days. My friends at Thunders know how I sweated that 10 days, fearing the worst, even making funeral arrangements in my own mind. Not sleeping at night, not telling my kids, not trying to show Mrs 7 how fucking worried I was for her (and pissed because she can be a stubborn cunt at times).

The 10 days past and the doctor wants to see Mrs 7 in his office. He wasn’t going to tell her over the phone. She is trying to play it cool but I can tell she is worried. I tell her I am going with her to the doctors office. She says “no” and that she wanted to go alone. I said “no fucking way” and we compromised on her best friend Sally. Sally has had cancer issues before which Mrs 7 went with her to every doctors visit and biopsy so I knew Sally would hear every detail the doctor had to say and be able to tell me verbatim. And I knew Sally wouldn’t hide anything from me, knowing how serious I was taking this. Even if my wife got pissed at her. Whenever Mrs 7 goes to the doctor for herself she goes deaf and forgets everything she was just told. I have seen it in action so going alone was not an option.

They go to the doctor and the doc says that Mrs 7 has “pre cancerous tissue” on her cervix. Not a big spot but he wants to remove it right away. He said it was nothing but he wasn’t taking any chances since Mrs 7 couldn’t be trusted to do the proper followup that would be required if he wanted to wait for any reason.

He said he would “freeze” the spot and remove it and that Mrs 7 would be fine. The reason she would be fine is because he wouldn’t allow anything to grow any bigger or possible spread (if thats possible with the cervix). She would have to go for a pap every three months for the next year or so but all should be well. If the next pap comes back “bad” then he would go in and “cut” out the area in question. But the freezing is less intrusive and the recovery is much quicker with less discomfort and has a very good success rate.

That being said Mrs 7 went to have the spot removed yesterday morning (it was supposed to be today but the doc had a vacancy and moved her up a day). I again didn’t go but Sally did. Sally called me about every 15 minutes with an update whether she had anything or not. After they put something in Mrs 7’s IV, she went out cold and about 40 minutes later Sally called me to tell me that she spoke with the doctor and that everything went fine. And that Sally could take Mrs 7 home in an hour or so. Mrs 7 was bloated and gassy but she looked fine and came by my office so that I could go out to the car and see her.

Sally made sure Mrs 7 rested the remainder of the day. She went to bed early and woke up this morning looking at about 85% of herself. She isn’t supposed to drive for a couple of days which isn’t a problem since her car has been in the shop for the last two days.

Guys, Mrs 7 will be fine, thank God. The only inconvenience remaining in this deal is that we are not supposed to have sex for 6-8 weeks. That is why I have this new signature up.

I get to joke about this right now because I feel good about the outcome. But heed the warning do let your women ignore these “bad paps” because they are all not bad no matter what you get told.

My friends here at Thunders have been very supportive and I cant tell you how much I appreciate that. I couldn’t not go home and tell my feelings to Mrs 7 since it would only make her more anxious, so I spilled my guts to my online compadres.

Been there done that. Only mine was more than pre-cancerous and it was also 3/4 of my cervix.

Freezing doesn’t get it all, as that was one of my options. Removal does. Since mine was so spread, I chose for the hysterectomy, 21 years ago. Make sure that your wife follows up every three months, without fail, without complaints. I went in every 6 months for a year after my surgery, to make absolutely sure we had gotten it all. And after that year, make sure she goes in at a minimum of once a year, if not more often.

I do understand what you mean when you said telling her your feelings would only make her more anxious, but your feelings do need to be shared to her, so she knows that this is about the two of you and not just her. I’m very thankful that it wasn’t more serious at this point in time, and if she keeps her follow up appointments, hopefully it won’t turn into something serious.

Good that worked for Mrs. 7. And for Sunny without whom this site would be less.

Its easy for me to be jovial right now, but I was scared shitless. And Sunny I know another woman that started with the freeze, went to having the spot cut out to a hysterectomy. So I am optimistic but more aware than I was two months ago.

I myself am curious about how the numbers will fall out. I dont masturbate often but my main reason for not masturbating has been taken away for 55 more days so who knows. I will try to update the signature daily.

Thanks Ram for the concern. Small setback today, Mrs 7 is bleeding somewhat and the doctor wants to see her as soon as possible. He said she over did it too soon. Not a surprise if you know Mrs 7, she never sits still and doesnt take direction well at all. Of course, Sally is chewing her ass out now so I dont have to say a word. Sally tells me that the doctor is going to corterize (sp?) the area again.

I swear she needs a bitch slap.

I’ll keep you guys updated. The reason I mention this is because as you can see I was elated not long ago only to have this change of direction. I am confident this can be fixed but now she will probably get 3 days of bedrest because she wouldnt listen to one day of bedrest and one day of taking it easy.
