Oh, and I do give my own injections at home, or at least my wife gives them to me in the rear end. My dose is 1 ML.

How many days before or after your T shot did you get your blood drawn? Did your doctor test your estradiol level? Very important. I shoot my T every third day. A large dose every 2 weeks is not the way to go. Of course you’ll have mood swings with this protocol. Every three weeks is CRAZY.

Starting stats 3/2/12: BPEL 5.625, EG 5.375, Flaccid L 3.50, Flaccid G 5.125, Mild to moderate ED

Goals: It's growing and looking good. ED is slightly better. 4/30

It was almost 2 weeks after my last shot when I got my blood drawn. There is nothing on the lab but Testosterone, no free T or anything else to do with hormone levels, and then my metabolic panel for my hep c, ALT, AST, bilirubin, ect. He is a primary care physician. I think I need to have him refer me to a Endrocine Specialist. So how much do you shoot? You are saying every two weeks is why I have such bad mood swings? Now he wants me to switch to every 3 weeks. So if I am supposed to switch to 1ML every 3 weeks how should I break it up?

I wonder if I shouldn’t try the Androgel again. I had done it in the past when my levels were not near as low, and it didn’t seem to do much for me as far as the way I felt. I know it administers the T on a much more consistent level then the injections, but I have also heard it doesn’t work as well.

Yikes, your T measured 1009 2 weeks after your shoot? So you’re saying the doc shot you with 200mg of T, assuming the T was the normal 200mg/ml. How did you feel a few days after the shot? Your T level must have been off the chart. How is your sleep pattern? Do you want to tear any ones face off? Just kidding. You might want to talk to your doctor about shooting 50mg every 3-4 days. Do bloodtests to see where you’re at. Insist on having your E2 (specify sensitive test) tested.

I shoot 60mg every third day. My T (confirmed by bloodtest) was 861 the day of the next shoot.

Yes my sleep is very bad. I work 2nd shift and I get off at 11:00 at night. I usually stay up until about 3:00 am and when I go to sleep it is like I am half awake until about 9:00 am. Then I will usually sleep pretty hard then until about 12:00 to 1:30 pm just in time to go to work again at 2:30.

Also my mood swings have been really bad. I thought I was having depression again because of my wife’s affair almost 4 yeas ago. I am having spells where I feel great and then at the end of the evening I feel like I could cry. Or I feel great then I switch to being extremely angry (want to tear someones face off) lol.

I have been reading a lot of the stuff posted by sta-kool, and others and it made me realize that my Doctor isn’t doing near enough to correct my problem. So I just called his office this morning asking for a referral to someone that is more experienced in TRT. The nurse said she would get back with me. I don’t believe I am wrong for asking for this. My Doctor is a primary care and he is always swamped with patients. Like I mentioned earlier this week I got my lab and he only did one test for T, which was the 1009. There was no free T, or anything else on it. I just feel like I have the right to go to who I want and get fixed especially when it was a Doctor that screwed me up about 12 years ago. I was diagnosed with Hep C and he made it sound like if I didn’t take chemo for it, or it would end up killing me. Needless to say it screwed me up so bad and cost me about 2 years of my life to get straightened back out. Now I am being told that is what probably killed my testes, and that is why they don’t produce T on there own. I have several posts about this way back in 2002 or so.

I wish I had all the stuff I have been posting in the thread treatment for hyogonadism.

You know another thing is I was diagnosed with a under active thyroid the same time I was with low T. Is it possible that since it is back to normal through medication that my T production picked back up on it’s own? I think this is even more of a reason to see someone else. Gee-sh, all of this stuff is driving me crazy.

1 quest, sorry to hear you’re having so many difficulties. All things work out in the end, until then you just have to endure.

The only insite I can offer you on your sleep difficulties is, I worked 2nd shift 12 years ago. I hated it. My sleep pattern was screwed up from it as well.

I also cannot offer any help on your depression. I thankfully, do not suffer from this.

You doctor while knowledgeable in many areas of medicine, most likely doesn’t have a clue how to treat a man with low T and probably other hormonal issues as well. My hormones were a mess before I started HRT.

As for the chemo issue, this is passed, you’ll never know if this is the case. You should probably make peace with this fact. I had testicular cancer 10 years ago. The radiation I received was in my back around the kidney area. It was said that lymph nodes in this region are where the cancer typically reemerges. I suffer from low adrenal output today. The adrenal glandes are located on top of the kidneys. My doctor theorises that the radiation did my adrenal glands in. I was mad for a long time. I’ve come to terms with this is the way it is and I just have to be ok with this.

Try looking for an internist doctor. Endocrinologists by and large are no good for HRT. Endo’s are good for diabetes and thyroid. There are exceptions of course.

Check out some of the info at this forum:
Maybe sign up and start asking questions. There’s a couple of really knowledgeable guys at that forum.

Let me know if I can help you further. Take care.

Well my Primary made me a appointment with a Endo for Aug 27th. I am going to give him a try. Also I am going to print some of the links off that sta-kool has posted and take it a long just in case.
Just a note, I would of normally took my 1ML injection Friday. I am waiting now for the new regiment. I have noticed I feel a little better. Calmer not as edgy!
