3 Months In And Progress

3 Months In And Progress

Hey guys,

This is my very first post although I’ve been reading a lot on here. Just wanted to share my experience so far with you all and especially for us new comers. I also have a question near the end.

I’m currently 34 years old I started p.e in my early 20s but didn’t stick to it. I wasn’t serious about it and I quit because I stopped seeing gains. I was 7 inches BPEL and gained .5 inch not sure the duration as it was a while ago. However fast forward to 3 months ago I was 7.25 BPEL, so I lost.25. I should add that in my 20s I was around 140 to 150lbs and 3 months ago I was 210 lbs so I did gain weight. And I’m sure some of my gains this time around was due to fat loss. I am currently 193 lbs (I’ve been doing cardio).

This time around I stuck to the newbie routine but only 100 jelqs. Started 1 on 1 off then moved to 2 on 2 off now I’m 5 on 2 off. But sometimes life got in the way and I missed a couple days. That being said, here is the climax to my story. First month I gained .25 of an inch but, I’m not sure if it was due to p.e. Or weight loss. So I measured at 7.5 BPEL once again. 2ND month I gained nothing, third month (currently) I’m measuring at 7.75 BPEL or just under depends how strong my erection is. I must say my erections since p.e. Have been 100% I’ve never felt them this hard. I’m still overweight and have about 1 inch or more of a fat pad. My EL is 6.25 and 3 months ago it was 5.75 approximately. So I have been gaining from weight loss and I’m definitely gaining from p.e. When I was skinnier I bone pressed hard at 7.5 now I bone press hard at 7.75 and hard I mean shoving the ruler in as far as it can go. So I’m sure with more fat pad loss ill measure more BPEL.

Now for my question. I can’t post on the hangers forum yet so I hope its OK I ask here. Is 3 months too early to start hanging? I am self employed and at the moment I am plowing so I only work when it snows. That being said, I have tons of time to hang and was hoping to get in the hours throughout the winter.

Thanks boys and happy p.e.

I think you can start hanging. But like everything else in PE take it slow and let yourself learn on low weights.
What hanger are you going to use?

190416 Bpel 16,5 Bpfsl 16,5 Meg 14,2 Beg 15,0

210312 Bpel 19 Bpfsl 19,6 Meg 14,5 Beg 15,3

___Gain Bpel +2,5 Bpfsl +3,1 Meg +0,3 Beg +0,3

I was thinking to use the Bib hanger.

I just want to say, congrats on the success you’ve had!

I’m in the middle of a restart as well and going all manual except for pumping, I.e. No ADS, no clamps, no hanging, etc. A lot of people have had success with the Bib hanger, but I wasn’t one of them. I feel like I have better control and better gains, and I’m more consistent (adherence is the biggest factor toward success) going manual, but the law of individual differences is king. If hanging works for you, do it. If it doesn’t, don’t feel obligated just because ‘supposed to’ work.

Thanks FullKilt!

May I ask why the Bib didn’t work for you?

If hanging doesn’t work for me ill switch back to manuals. I’m still going to jelq and was thinking of getting a pump later on.. Not sure yet about the pump though.

I think it was a mix of things. The amount of overhead that went into getting into the device, setting up weights, stretching over a cylinder (for inverted V-stretch when I did that variation), etc., just got cumbersome. Also maybe due to my shape, the device hurt. So I went into every hanging session with bad morale to begin with, and then I didn’t see any gains from a program with it. To be honest I don’t remember how long I ran a hanging program, but it was months not weeks.

Anyway, sticking with manual gives me less overhead, more freedom, and more control. It’s also a lot of work, but I’m actually seeing gains for the time being.

I definitely see the advantages of hanging, but they just didn’t add up for me. I know it works for many people, so I encourage you to try. My only real point was that if it doesn’t work for you, don’t feel obligated to die on that hill just because it’s supposed to work.

Well thank you for the encouragement. Sorry to hear it didn’t work out for you but I’m glad to hear your gaining from manuals. Cheers to that and happy p.e.
