360mm of HG

360mm of HG

Greetings. I bought a medical grade pump that has a built-in pressure release valve that prevents the pressure from exceeding 360mm of HG. The claim in the brochure states that the pump, because of this safety feature, can not reach dangerous levels. When I use an on-line converter it appears that 360mm of HG equals 14.173 inches of HG. Is this correct? And if so, this seems to be quite a lot of pressure which can possibly cause some damage to my penis. Is this a lot of pressure, and should I be concerned? What might I be missing here? Thanks for your help.

That’s a lot of pressure! Keep it at 5Hg or less.

-14inHg is a lot of vacuum and is certainly too much for someone new to pumping. We recommend that new pumpers not exceed -5inHg while pumping. Some guys may find -5inHg as too much and will start at -3inHg. As the penis becomes more accustomed to vacuum pumping, you can increase duration and/or vacuum levels.

While more experienced pumpers sometimes pump at vacuum levels at -10inHg and sometimes more, they typically do so for only very short times.

Initial: 7” BPEL; 6” NBPEL; 5.25” - 5.5” MEG

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

What held you back? What were the warning signs to keep it so slow?

Been at it a month and up to 4" for 2 20 minute sessions in the morning and 2 in the afternoon… very little issues with edema.

You also said you didn’t gain for a while, and then BOOM, it came… can you tell me how that happened?

Excessive edema. I’m apparently not prone to petechiae.

Sounds okay to me.

Not so much BOOM as in a series of steps. It seems less common than "steady growth", but other PE’ers have reported the same thing. I did have some largeish steps, but from my work log I wasn’t doing anything different.

It seems I’m an ‘easy gainer’. If I had a secret, I’d tell it in tedious detail.

One way to safely go a little higher on pressure is to cycle it for short durations or to "interval’ pump where you go up to peak target vacuum, hold that for some period of time (15-120 seconds are common interval durations) and then all the way down to zero. Then instantly right back up. This helps prevent edema from building up as much as with constant vacuum at longer durations. I find I can pump with more vacuum pressure this way, which I think is beneficial to actual growth.

Another way to increase vac pressure without as much edema is to fill your tube with hot water. You can’t do this with an electric pump, but if you have a manual pump and cylinder you can do it by keeping a column of air at the top of the cylinder.

I’m not suggesting that you should try these as a beginner, but so you can keep them in mind as you ramp up in your pump training.
