Newbie going into my 3rd week. I’ve read a lot of the forum info now but still can’t come to a conclusion for my routine. I’m single again so I have time in the evenings for a good workout. But, after reading the forum it seems to me that the best thing for gaining length would be the ADS. That would give plastic gains in length rather than elastic. I have no concern for girth at this point because it makes a lot of sense that the more girth, the harder it is to gain in length. I also have a low LOT, maybe 7- 7:30.

I’m wondering if I should only stretch because jelqing would probably gain in girth?

Also, pumping makes a lot of sense to me because it applies even pressure on the entire tunica.

It also seems that 1 day on and 1 off would be smart allowing for healing and not toughening up the tunica..

Any thoughts?

My thoughts are:

ADS takes a long time to be appreciated and can be added later. Newbies should use the newbie routine for six to eight weeks before considering other things.

That said, pumping is a good adjunct to the Newbie Routine, but don’t start until you’ve had at least three weeks of conditioning. When I first started I did a slight variation of the Newbie and added pumping and was gaining 1/4” in length per month. (Your mileage may vary.)

Don’t be concerned about LOT for now.

Jelqing is a length and girth exercise, especially when combined with manual stretching. Girth gains are hard for most guys to come by, so don’t let the possibility turn you off to the benefits in length that jelqing offers.

1/4” per month would be fantastic! I am getting psyched to be actively PEing again in the near future and plan on adding pumping to my new routine.

Actually Catman I wouldn’t be all that concerned about girth. I think you will find that girth comes in the long run of things. Your right about an ADS producing length as opposed to girth and with that in mind I wonder why you would want to pump. Pumping effects girth a great deal and can wait. If your after length, then stretching with a good ADS will give you what you want.

Having said that consider your one day on and one day off routine. Many make the mistake of “allowing time for healing”. The prevailing wisdom seems to indicate that riding the fatigue in hanging leads to steady gains whereas breaks in routines produces toughening of tissues. The same concept applies to your quest in that what your after is gains during the damaged period and a continuation of those gains from one session to another. Healing time although seemingly short in duration can cause loss of gain continuation due to toughening. Beware of shooting yourself in the foot. Many guys find themselves frustrated because they fail to get the gains they want because they heal faster then they anticipate. Next thing you know they have plateaued and begin looking for more aggressive means to get the gains their looking for.

Let me also give you a heads up on length gains. Length gains comes from the extension of ligaments. The tunica will lengthen as the ligs extend. So what your actually after in terms of length gains is concentrating on working the lig length not the tunica. This can be accomplished by grabbing the head of your penis and with the other hand rubbing the ligament on the top with your thumb. Understand the ligs are the limiters of length. In many cases flaccid length will be increased and erect length will not change because the tunica will not lengthen as fast as the lig length increases, but fret not because your erect length gain will follow. See what happens is the tunica when filled with blood will fill but that may not be what the ligament length will allow. In other words maximum length cannot be obtained because the overall length of the tunica has not increased yet. So in effect your erect length may not be extending the full length of the ligaments capabilities. That will come when the tunica stretches from jelqing or other exercises.

Right on Monty. Thanks for the detailed info. I will consider this in developing a routine, which is pretty much anything goes at the moment.
