Advice Needed On Next Steps

Hi everyone!

I hope you’re all doing well.

I’ve been stuck with figuring out what my next steps are. No doubt, there is a plethora of information on TP, and it can get overwhelming at times.

I started PE back in February 2021, and gain 0.5” in EL in three months, putting me at 7” BPEL and about 6.6” NBPEL (starting was about 6.5” BPEL). No doubt, I was happy with that gain, and measuring daily has shown these gains are here to stay and weren’t just measured on a “good” day. My “newbie” routine was similar to what GentlePsychopath did. He advocated for manual stretches for 25 mins+. This worked well and I did mainly downward stretches and straight out stretches (as well as some A and V stretches).

What would all the veterans/experienced PEers recommend as my next step? I’d eventually like to get to a BPEL of 8” (or NPBEL 7.5” minimum). I’ve also been cutting down to lose my fat pad, so this helps.

Should I continue what I’m doing? Add jelqs (do these do anything for length in addition to girth)? Give hanging a try?

@platinumplaya 25 minute stretches huh? Could you detail your routine? I’m juet shy of 2 months on the newbie routine, and yours sounds like it could be a natural next step in 2 or 3 months.

Sorry, I should’ve mentioned this. I haven’t really grown in the last month. Been stuck at 7” BPEL. I up’ed the stretching to 35 mins (not pulling very hard, just enough to feel a good stretch). I even two a few extra rest days to see if that would help. EQ is still great and I probably have more morning wood than usual, haha.

Hey Dr. Grayson! Happy to.

From Feb to April, my routine was as follows - 2 days on, 1 day off

30 second stretches in each direction (total 3 mins)
- SD, DL, SO, SD, DR, BTC
30 second stretches (again) in each direction (total 3 mins)
- SD, DL, SO, SD, DR, BTC
60 second stretches in each direction (total 6 mins)
- SD, DL, SO, SD, DR, BTC
2 mins - A Stretch
2 mins - V Stretch
2 mins - A Stretch
2 mins - V Stretch
2 mins - A Stretch
2 mins - V Stretch
Left side fulcrum (90 seconds)
Right side fulcrum (90 seconds)
Finish it off with 1-2 mins of BTC

In total, I would end up with out 28-30 mins of stretching.

I’ve changed the routine up a little bit and removed the A and V stretches this past month, but increased the time of manual stretches to 35 mins.

So I now I do -

2 min stretches in each direction (total 12 mins)
- SD, DL, SO, SD, DR, BTC
and I repeat this process 3x for a total of almost 36 mins.

I’m glad to hear that routine is working for you. After reading gentlepsychopath’s thread, I adopted a similar routine. I enjoy the lighter/more moderate stretches better. I can really feel a much better stretch by easing into it that way.

Agreed. It’s easy to employ his methods. I usually just watch some educational lectures on the internet, or maybe an episode of two of a good TV show while I’m doing it and before I even knew it, I’m done!
