So I have been jelqing weekly for close to 3-4 months now as time, etc. Permits. I haven’t been able to maintain the five on two off that I would like yet because of how much I work and the nature of the work but I have gotten to the point where I can do a jelqing session of 400 four second strokes with good pressure and have no issues. I mention this because I had been doing 200 back in march and after my first attempt at 300 I had my first “donut” experience which I have to say scared the crap out of me, it went away the next day while I was working. Now I can do the 400 and have no issues. I mention this because clearly I have gained a decent bit of conditioning, and after doing some reading on the forums I have learned more, especially about clamping. I fudged my attempts at measuring from the beginning, even way before starting PE. I was not aware of the issue with the fat pad, which I have by the way, but I am working on getting rid of it. I work long hours and I eat light now, lots of fruits and salad with strenuous work outside 10-12 hours a day, it is paying off slowly but surely. I have made a concerted effort to really measure myself properly and after 2-3 days of no jelqing I am pushing a BPEL of just shy of 7.75” and an MSEG of 5.5” I had been somewhat confused because my soft hang used to be smaller, etc. But I am thinking my starting BPEL was probably 7.25”-7.5”. I digress, I have been giving some serious thought to clamping, but I was reading a thread and someone mentioned that clamping could very well halt length gains. I am still debating on if I want to go for a BPEL of 8 or 9 inches and I may just go with 8 once the fat pad is gone. My question is whether or not I should start trying to clamp now, or wait until I have at least reached a BPEL of 8-9 inches and then stop going for length and start working for girth gains. Also, for future reference I would be thankful if anyone would be willing to provide me with product recommendations for things like clamps, sleeves, etc. Thanks in advance.

I ordered the cable clamp pro from Walmart. Com it came as an assortment of size clamps, two small, one medium, and one extra large. I used a foam pipe insulation for padding that I cut into a thin strip. Tonight was my first attempt at clamping, and it didn’t go so well, I tried the medium clamp (which I figure everyone uses) but my erection started to subside and I felt myself going limp. The weird thing is my veins were still throbbing and more prominent then I’ve ever seen. I thought I wasn’t doing it right so I took the clamp off after a couple minutes. I’m real disappointed I thought it would keep my erection solid like a rock for the whole duration. Plus I had the clamp maxed out.

Does clamping halt length gains? I haven’t read enough about this to have generated a concensus view on it. Clamping is a girth focused activity, which in my opinion could lead to a reduction in length gains.

One theory which I do ascribe to (not all do) is that it is better to gain length before girth. The point being that if girth is first when you then focus on gaining length you have more dick to stretch out, making it more difficult.

Another concept many of us believe is that if you are still having gains then stay with the program you are on. Change when the gains slow or stall. Some guys have made all their gains from jelqing and manual exercises only.

I also agree with your idea to focus on reducing your fat pad. The dick covered up by your fat pad is your dick, set it free. The only guaranteed penis extension there is comes from reducing the fat pad.

Current: 7-7/8” BPEL; 7-3/8” NBPEL; 8.5” BPFSL; 6.5” MEG; 6”x5” Flaccid.

Goal: Improved/consistent EQ while managing ED. Secondary: maintain current stats.

I was thinking much the same about length first then girth. It stands to reason that length should be first, though I wonder if anyone has first hand experience going the opposite way round. I have a mental image of someone doing it that way and ending up with a tapered dick.
