Am I Jelqing correctly? No feeling of expansion when trying it

Hi I’ve been doing the beginner routine this past week and follow everything as closely as I can however I’m not sure if I’m Jelqing correctly.

I do the Jelqs at around a 60%-80% erection since it fluctuates, I don’t feel much expansion or strain at all unless it’s at 80% or so, is that normal?
In fact I don’t feel much soreness after doing the recommended amount of Jelqs in the newbie routine.

I use the lube I have currently and try to do the Jelqs slowly and steadily but I don’t feel much of the blood being pushed forward.

Does this sound normal or am I doing it incorrectly?

Welcome to the forum penisproject.

Your grip strength needs to change as your erection fades. It’s possible you’re letting your erection fade too much before increasing it. Think of jelqing not so much as a static system but as one where you are constantly reacting to the feedback. Your aim should be to make every stroke count. Watch the video, read the how to thread and even with that it takes practice because it’s probably the most complex PE exercise to learn.

I have been trying to learn to jelq for probably over five years off and on without much luck, so don’t be discouraged.

Probably experiment with different ways until you notice something working and then try to build on that?

I bought a jelqing tool with two cushioned rollers that squeeze together. The problem with the tool is that it isn’t a complete circle like your hand can do. So if you can learn to do it with your hand it will probably work much better.

You shouldn’t be using a complete circle with jelqing. It should be more stress on the sides with minimal pressure top and bottom. For an overhand grip put the webbing between thumb and forefinger on top of the shaft, for a standard OK put it at the base of the shaft. Then exert the pressure on the sides. Release pressure as you pull the grip back, add pressure as you go forward.

These jelqing tools are dangerous. The rollers can pop out and then you’re left with a nasty piece of metal that you’ve just forced into your dick. If you have to use it, use it with the rollers vertical and bear in mind that you might be about to cause yourself a big injury the greater pressure you exert. Also throw the tool away if, when you test it, you can get the roller to pop out.

Interesting, I did not know that. Ironically, the manufacturer of the jelqing tool had a video, and I believe it showed the axis of the rollers horizontal rather than vertical. The ergonomics of the tool would be very awkward with the rollers vertical.

I am going to try what you suggested.

If you use it horizontally you’ll eventually cause problems with the CS. Also you might find you’ve lost feeling in your dick after a while (these things creep up on you).

Hmmm. That doesn’t sound good. One advantage of the tool I bought “Power J Gym” is that it is made of flexible materials which limit the amount of squeeze it can apply to the penis.

It sounds like using the hand is the best if a person can learn the technique.

Thank you, I’ve been trying to do a complete circle and my index and thumb start hurting, another factor would be maybe that girth at the base is quite a bit smaller. I’ll try this out

I have found that doing an A jelq (make a peace sign and out the webbing on top of shaft) and squeezing the sides give me the best feeling of expansion and engorgement in the CC.
