Are Jelq Breaks Needed

I have been on the newbie routine for a few weeks. Is it recommended that you do 10 to 20 minutes of jelqing straight? Or, do you break them into sets with rest intervals? Last night after doing 20 minutes straight my arms were exhausted. It would appear that not only ones penis gets a workout by doing PE exercises. Now, how do you guys that do an hour or more of jelqing do it (it would take shoulders of steal - lol)?

How many wet jelq’s can you do in five minutes? I think if you can do 300 in five minute intervals. How many do you do?

It’s hard to say really man, you should try and go inside yourself and feel when you’ve done enough. Remember though that less is always better than more, or at least has been in my experience. ‘Time’ doesn’t really count for any aspect of PE - feel when you’re done. I know that’s really vague and you probably want to feel safe and have some format to follow or whatever but I don’t even know how many jelqs I do a day let alone for what duration. My format would be do less, be patient and observe.

CC - I have not been counting individual reps. I do 2 to 3 second wet jelqs and I have just been watching the clock. I started with 10 minutes and last night moved to 20 minutes.

BeastyOne - that sounds like good advice. I have been more worried about not doing enough. I am still getting a feel for the exercises but I will make a greater effort to be less of a clock watcher and more in tune with direct feedback.

I learned an important lesson last night. Stretching and jelqing standing up caused much less stress on my shoulders and arms. Sitting down apparently makes PE exercises much more difficult.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Cool, so you prefer standing to sitting then? I move around a lot when PEing. Say it gets hard I would stop jelqing stand and vainly check myself out in the mirror or walk around. I brush my teeth while I stretch, and recently started curling with a single weight on one arm while stretching with the other. Come to think there is ever less free time in the morning, might have go nocturnal PE.

What I would do, is every 5 minutes stop for 30 seconds or so to shake your hands out. The short break is all you need to refresh your hands. During this time, you can also refresh your lube if necessary.

GP - I’m going to try your 5 minutes on 30 second rest interval. Do you prefer sitting or standing?

I do both sitting and standing. For instance, if I’m doing out to side stretches, I prefer to be standing. If I’m stretching to the left, I’ll slowly rotate my hips to the right creating more of a stretch (or so I think). I seem to lose focus when I pull straight up, so it helps me if I’m lying straight down on back for that stretch. Those are just some examples.

Always sitting.
