Kar,>I have quit smoking and have been doing weight lifting for the past 3 months. I need to start useing the bib hanger also in my routine. My question is now that I have a better knowledge about eating and building muscle, should I apply that to hanging also?<
No. Muscle building is completely different from PE. Building up vs tearing down. You make gains in PE by deforming the collagenous tissues, ligs and tunica. They will become stronger, but that is a bad thing for further gains.
>I know I need to eat an hr before and after I do my work out and skip a day to leave the muscles heal. Should I do that also with hanging?<
Does not matter about the eating. In general, guys that are in better shape have a tougher time gaining than couch potatos. Sorry about that. The better nutrition you get, etc, the quicker your tissues heal, and the tougher future gains are to get.
>I have been told if you don’t let your muscles rest and heal, you won’t gain in size. This I believe is true to an extent. But what is your take on this?Should I let it heal after hanging for atleast a day or what is what?<
That is not the way it is with PE. It might be true for muscle mass, but not in deforming collagenous tissues, ligs and tunica. In fact, when you take time off from PE, it just gives the deformations in the collagenous tissues time to heal, become stronger, and harder to make further deformations. Work every day on PE if possible. Even if you can only hang one or two sets, do it.
I just thought you might find this point of view interesting.
