Can NBPL and BPL be the same?

Can NBPL and BPL be the same?

On this site a see some pretty big differences in BPL and NBPL, some of which go to 1 inch!

I dont understand this because by BPL and NBPL are the same, that is, I dont have a “fat pad”. I’m a skinny guy but I know there are other skinny guys out here with differences in BPL and NBPL so I am doing this wrong? Or is it possible to be the same? Do I need to push extremely hard on the pubic bone or something?

I have 1 inch of difference too. In my opinion BPEL is more pressed, ” but ” just the normal, while NBP it’s more where the penis start.

When I measure BP I push the ruler in right on top of my dick and in as far as it will go, so that the ruler is almost pushing in underneath the pubic bone. The ruler is flat against my shaft all the way up

That’s the best measurement I can get. I wonder if people consider this cheating?

Most guys have some sort of fat pad there Darth. It’s normal and supposed to help cushion things during sex. Extremely thin guys with single digit body fat measurements might not have one I suppose. But for most people the two measurements will be different. In the NBP you lay the ruler on top and place the end where the pubic skin rises from the shaft. In BP you put the ruler in the same place, but push it hard against the pubic bone. So even a skinny guy should see something like 1/4” difference. Are you measuring differently?

Yeah im 5’8 135lbs with probably 6% body fat or less im not sure…im a small guy hehe.

Oh…I guess Im not pressing hard enough…wow…you have to press REALLY damn hard to get a difference! But hey wohoo! My BPL just went up past 7!

Surely there’s some difference, Darth? I mean even if you have virtually no fad there, the tissue would compress slightly when you push the ruler into it, wouldn’t it?

But hey, lucky you if you really don’t have any fat pad. It means you can show off your whole package instead of having some hidden. :D

There definitely seems to be a relationship between fat pad width and bodyfat. Although, people tend to be genetically predisposed to store adipose tissue in certain areas. For example, below the waist in the legs and rear as opposed to the torso or vice versa. I am wondering if there is much information on this site regarding changes in fat pad width due to weight loss or more specifically fat loss. I’m 36 and currently about 14 - 16% bodyfat. My fat pad is just under an inch in width. I have been bodybuilding since I was 15 so I know that as I change my diet I can predict with a high degree of certainy my bodyfat levels by measuring my waist, chest, arms and legs and by monitoring my muscular definition or lack thereof. Prior to joining these forums I had never really considered monitoring my fat pad width. Now of course, I am more motivated than ever to get down to the 10 - 12% bodyfat range. As my bodyfat decreases and the size of my waist shrinks I intend to record changes in my fat pad width. Have any of you recorded similar observations or can any of you point me to a thread that discusses this topic? Ideally I would have 1/4” fat pad but it just isn’t realistic to assume that I would ever maintain a bodyfat level below 10 - 12%.

As long as you have skin covering your pubic bone, there must be a difference between your NBP and your BP measurements. Soft tissue, whether skin or fat, compresses when you press a ruler into it.

Nevermind guys I found tons of useful information on this topic on the site. Interestingly enough the thread was entitled, fat pad.

I don’t think you can cheat on a measurement with the ruler on top. That’s a pretty accurate way to measure. I always thought the ruler on the side measurement was kind of cheating. On me I gain almost 3/4 of an inch with a side measurement as opposed to a top measurement.

Started 10/1/04 Approaching 7x5, Going for 8x6

My NPBL is NOW 7, where as my new BPL is about 7.25. Yes you are right guys, if I do press hard enough strait to the bone, I have about a .25 inch fat pad.

But seriously then, how do fat guys press the ruler through ALL that fat to the bone? You cant displace that much fat can you? The BPL notion still confuses me…

No, you can only compress fat so much, but BPL still gives a pretty accurate comparison between measurements. However, if a larger guy loses loads of weight so his fat pad becomes smaller, so there’s less fat to compress and so the BPL becomes bigger, then its still a fair way of measuring because the smaller fat pad means more penis is revealed. So in a sense, losing weight/fat pad gains you some penis.
