Can someone tell me what this is?

Can someone tell me what this is?

I’ve been jelqing for about month without any discomfort, but now for some reason after about 10 mins of it, I am experiencing a soreness almost comparable to a prickellish feel (hehehe no pun intended) Its like a sharp pain, its hard to explain. I don’t think I’m over doing it at all, I never go longer than 20 mins. Could someone please advise me on what it is and how to stop it.

any help would be appreciated.

Try and be a little more descriptive. For instance, is the pain isolated to one specific area, or does it seem to trace a line on your penis, or, perhaps, begins at the base of your shaft and seems to terminate somewhere in your lower abdomen?

well it actually changes as i go through the stroke. it goes from the base then i feel it at the head. midshaft is fine.

im taking that this is rare, due to the high response rate I am recieving here. Im not overly concerned but Im just curious to know what it could be and how to stop it.

It isn’t rare for PEers to experience pain in their favorite organ. Are you jelqing at a high % erection, maybe?

I’ve read through several threads in the injury forum relating to pain associated with jelqing. I found several describing a sharp pain on the right side of the penis, usually being around the glans or along the shaft itself (again, for some reason, often on the right side).

Sometimes I have slight pain at the base, and also pain near the glans, but I can’t remember if it happens in the same fashion as yours: starting at the base, skipping mid-shaft, and then appearing around the glans. It’s been a while since I’ve felt pain, as I tend to be a very cautious PEer. Try taking it easy for a bit, as in a less vigorous workout, or maybe even a day or to off, and then restart with a less vigorous workout.

I used to have those type of pains. You’re simply over-shooting what your penis can handle…that’s usually what those pin-prick type of pains mean…I used to get them ALL the time when I would be doing 2-3 hours a day after only 6 months like a dumbass. Maybe you’re only really built to handle 10 minutes for right now…scale it back in time, and after a while, try upping the time…it should be better after even just a week or two of less time.

Hey KOG,

Phreakk is exactly right. You are overdoing it. The pains are your unit’s way of telling you to back off a bit. It is very possible 20 minutes is too long for you. It is for me. I only do about 15 minutes of actual exercises. It’s all about listening to your body and realizing your PIs (physiological indicators, as Sparkyx so eloquently stated it). If your if you are doing something to cause any kind of pain then most likely your are doing something wrong. PE isn’t about pain, it should be enjoyable and feel good really. My advise to you is the advise that was given to me (which I took and am making AWESOME progress)- SLOW DOWN! This isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon. You will get the gains but you can’t only go as fast as your body allows. Make it fun, then you will see the pain disappear and the gains begin.

Try reading this thread. It helped me more than anything, and I think really put me on the right track:

When I have made great gains, I…
