Can't post in Main Member Forum but I'm not a Newbie

Hey Moderators,

I tried to post recently to the Main Member Forum but I got this error:

“you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else’s post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
3. If you are new you may not have permission to start a thread in this forum.
4. If you have never posted, your account may have been refused at the application stage.”

I’ve been posting for a while there and I’m not a newbie. Can someone please check this out.

I couldn’t figure out what’s wrong with your account, but I’ll alert the more technically savvy mods to this problem. We’ll get it fixed ASAP.

Paulski82, were you just trying to post, or were you trying to start a new thread there?

Anybody, including newbies, should be able to post a response in Main. I believe the current standard is that you need 300 posts to start a new thread there, though.

Errr…yeah….start a new thread. I knew about the minimum posts for newbies rule to post but not about this 300 posts rule. I need to post more. :-\

31 - 300 posts or less than 28 days membership: You can start a thread in the Newbie Forum and everywhere else except for the Main Member Forum.

300+ posts and greater than 28 days membership: You become a Senior Member, and can start a thread anywhere including the Main Member Forum.”
