So I got home after college in March 2017, after my biochemistry class, we were studying the ketonic bodies and diets without carbohydrates and its impacts within the human body. Since 2015, I’ve went through a really low carbohydrates diet and lost a lot of weight. Why? Because my ex dumped me cause I was fat. Yeah, we went through five years together, I used to do A LOT of jelqing, no other PE exercises at that time ‘cause I had no privacy at all. She liked my cock but hated my body. That’s bad. So.. I was in shape, March 2017, and since she dumped me, I forged one homemade Bib hanger and I ended up doing lots of hanging, mostly SD, because I had no knowledge that time with hanging even being a member since 2009, ‘cause I started my dating at that time.

I must tell you guys a few things that occurred to me since 2015 to 2017 when I returned to my jelqing and started my hanging routine. First of all, it’s about my diet. I was eating about 50 grams of carbohydrates per day and about 175-200g of lean protein, and 70-90g of fat. I was ripped to the bone, really nice shape I’ve maintained since 2006 when I started lifting heavy. Now, something happened.. As I went through deep ketosis, I’ve noticed something many guys experienced before.. A little muscle loss, cramps, and a really unbelievable thing - my wound were taking a really long time to heal, they would bleed a lot and take almost a month to heal it. I knew that wasn’t normal. Also, my nose would bleed every time I had an exposition to the heat of the sun, or it would simply bleed at night, for no reason at all, but believe me, IT WAS A LOT OF BLOOD, and that never happened to me before.

Now, I’ll talk about what I’ve came for: that’s about PE and carbohydrates.

I started my routine with normal jelqing and boom! Blood! Lots of blood came from my urethra.. Man.. That was really terrifying.. I took many minutes to stop the bleeding and I was really scared, so I stopped jelqing and ended up hanging a lot. Well.. It took a few days for me to notice the extreme discoloration and above all, my member wouldn’t repair. It stopped in that shrunken state for a long period of time and the hanging itself hurt me, even with low weights. So I became fascinated with the reasons of that and came upon my mind thinking of the carbohydrates and muscle loss, and my nose bleeding and the wound repair, and finally I ended up searching for articles with this topic : “carbohydrates AND tissue AND repair - and things like that and I found what I was searching for. A really good article talking about carbohydrates and tissue repair, and one least but not last “little book” about this topic. I wanted to post here on the forum at that time, but I read the rules and understood wrong what was saying, I thought one could not post until 100 posts, and ended up not posting it.

Carbs have a muscle sparing effect. Keto diets are the fastest way to drop calories but if your like me and don’t want to lose more precious muscle than necessary it’s not the best. I highly recommend flexible dieting and making further cuts to calories and increasing movement as plateaus and metabolic adaptation naturally happen.

In the 80’s fat was to blame, 90’s it was carbs and the keto diet is just a rebranding of the Atkins diet. The most successful diets are high protein and sustainable. To me that means nothing is off limits, I can eat anything I want, I just might not to be able to eat as much of it as I want. As long as calories are accounted for (you must be in a deficit to lose) and protein is high; it doesn’t matter too much how you divvy up the remaining carbs and fat. (Provided it’s not on the extreme ends of spectrum, which I classify keto as).

To be athletic most people need carbs, me included. Anyway check out flexible dieting or If It Fits Your Macros. To me it’s sustainable and has scientific backing.

Thanks for your reply longerstretch. Have you ever thought of this muscle sparing effect of carbs but in the spectrum of PE? I’ve not mentioned it but I did hang for almost 2 years for about 3-4 hours a day and I was not successful at that time. So I increased the carbs and boom, the gains came. I attached the studies I’ve talked about, let me know what you think.
