Difficulty mixing pumping with strap-type extender

It’s difficult for me to put-in the 4-8 hours recommended for the extender, because it is such a hassle. I had hoped that 1-2 hours with the extender might be sufficient when combined with 20 minutes with the pump.

My difficulty is that the pump seems to cause a mild puffiness that allows the strap of the extender to come loose more easily. This happens even when there is no significant edema immediately after the pump, and the mild puffiness can linger for over 24 hours. For this reason I rarely use the pump.

I suspect this puffiness wouldn’t be a problem if I had a vacuum cup extender, but I have the strap type.

Hmmm, I guess I should try one of those vacuum cap style extenders eventually. It has always seemed more complicated than the strap, and I worried that I would not be able to make it work.

Could you not change the order? First use the extender and then jump into the pump afterwards? That’s usually what I do

I had been trying to use the extender for several 20-30 minutes periods at high tension throughout the day - especially in the early evening. Then I had tried to use the pump just before bed for 20-30 minutes (cutting-off hopefully before any edema developed).

Unfortunately there was some mild puffiness in the skin of the penis the following day. The puffiness wasn’t visually obvious, but there was enough so that the strap on the extender could not tightly grip the penis at high tension. The puffy skin would allow the penis to slowly slip out of the strap.

Maybe I just need to experiment more. I am kind of klutzy about a lot of things, and I may find that it isn’t such a problem if I adjust things.

If the effects last into the next day it suggests you are overdoing it. You could try to reduce the amount you do for several days to allow your penis to get conditioned to that level of activity, then increase a little at a time.

I have an automatic pump, and the program I use increases the vacuum for maybe 5-10 seconds and then releases to zero and repeats. I spend about 5 minutes warming up around 10 kpa (3 inhg) and then I gradually increase the maximum vacuum setting over an additional 20 minutes to around 35 kpa (10 inhg).

Even though the maximum vacuum seems high the automatic program doesn’t hold that vacuum. The average vacuum is half the maximum. I like the automatic program, because it seems to me that it would emulate manual stretches.

I guess I can try shortening the duration to 15 minutes, but I wonder if such a short duration once per day is worth the hassle.
