Do kegels improve prostate health

Do kegels improve prostate health

And, is it true that by kegelling risk of prostate cancer is minimalized?

I do know that prolonged abstinence is a risk factor for an enlarged prostate. Don’t know of any link to actual cancer, but there could be one.

When you kegel, the muscles underneath and around the prostate (the PC and BC) squeeze on the prostate gland, relieving any pressure that might have built up from edging or extreme sexual activity. Some compare the “squeeze effect” created by kegeling as a sort of prostate massage. So to answer your question, yes kegels will improve prostate health.

My urologist and internist both told me that “getting off” regularly is a good thing and may be a factor in preventing prostate cancer. When the NYC mayor, Yankee manager, and one or two other “noteworthies” had prostate cancer surgery, my internist concluded it was from “lackanookie.”

However you can get it off, regular ejaculations are good for you. Of course if you have prostate cancer in your family, (brothers, uncles, father, grandfather, etc,) then you should get checked at least once a year—even if you’re in you’re in your twenties and thirties—certainly by time you reach your 40’s.

Goomba-Stud,

Abstinence or not, when you hit your 50’s, your prostate starts to grow, (rare the man for whom it doesn’t) and it keeps on growing until you die. However BPE has nothing to do with prostate cancer. They’re two quite different conditions.
