Hanger Rest Day Question, "Healing Shorter"

Hello, first time posting here.

When it comes to rest days with regards to hanging, I think I’m confused about something. If you take rest days and the micro tears in the ligaments start to toughen and heal, could this potentially “shrink” or shorten your length? What is meant by “healing shorter” in the rest days section of the hanging 101 thread?

“Hanging at least one set will help you prevent from healing shorter & somewhat better maintain the gains you’ve already made.”

Also on another website I came across this:

“Taking days off will have the opposite effect, especially on the ligaments that hold your penis. If you take days off, the micro tears will heal and become shorter and more taut, making your penis shorter.”

Has anyone experienced shrinkage or a shorter length when taking rest days from hanging? This would be absolutely terrifying.

I have also been wondering about this because isn’t taking rest days important in PE? But according to the thread if you take a rest day or for whatever reason have to stop hanging for a month or 2, you could end up with a shorter unit then when you started. Because of this I’m confused.
