Help-Lost gains

Help-Lost gains

Although I’m not a newbie-I definitely feel like one at this point and need advice. I had gained roughly 1.5 inches through hanging then stopped for a couple years due to complications with time to hang. I got back into it almost a year ago and have only managed to gain back .5 inches using same routine. I feel as though the ligs or tunic get hardened or maxed out over time. It is traumatic to lose size. Any advice on where I may be going wrong here??

Thanks

Just to be clear—you lost all of the 1.5" gains after a long layoff and have gained back 0.5" in a year? So you lost all your gains and haven’t been able to re-achieve them?

If that is the case, I’m not sure what to say except that maybe you need a new routine. What are you currently doing and how can you upgrade it based on your lifestyle and time availability?

Yes I lost 1.5 but only regained .5 and have somehow plateaued.

Thanks tenacious. I do 3-20 minute sets in morn and another in eve with 5 minutes heating in between. Start with 7 lbs and then go up to like 8.5. I don’t use ADS anymore though-wonder how important that is.

That’s a lot of training. You might be toughening your tissues. When was the last time you took a decon period?

I’ve found there is a balance between pushing for gains and trying to keep the tissues soft enough to keep them going. I
m currently on a 2 month decon for this reason. I still do pumping and clamping to keep from total loss of recent gains, but keep it pretty low intensity. In the past this has helped me break through plateaus. When I come back I do the minimum needed to gain, recognizing that intensity will have to increase over time to keep the gains coming.

Not saying that is the way, but might be worth considering if you’re stuck.

Interesting take. I took a decon about 2 weeks ago for a bit over a week. I don’t feel the ligs stretching or loosening anymore-is that essential? Though what your saying about softening the tissues may be the answer. But what does softened tissues feel like? I’ve never been sure about this!

I think the point of these posts is to remind us that there is a sweet spot between not enough and too much intensity enough training to keep gains coming over time.

Softened tissues don’t feel like anything different. The way to determine if you need a decon break or if your decon break worked is to track your session to session response to training. If you are getting elongation rates between 2 and 4 percent then the tissues are pliable enough. If you overshoot you may truncate your gains potential over time. If you’re not reaching it then either your intensity is too low or your tissues need a decon break.

At least that is the theory. As to whether or not it is reproducible in experience is up to us to figure out as a community.

But if you are stuck it might be worth a try.

Got it. Of course its hard to tell what’s soft or not when penis is in stretched state or is erect. Also 2 % of .5-1 inch is so miniscule that its hard to know for sure its working. Anyways I appreciate your response.

2-4% elongation is measured based on your pre-session length and your post session length. If you use a vac setup it makes sense to measure at the base of the glans (the retroglandular sulcus) because the vac cup will temporarily enlarge your glans with edema.

So it is easy to see if you are getting that rate of elongation. You take the difference post training and divide it by the starting length. Say your measurement before is 170mm and after is 175mm, then your rate of elongation is 175-170/170. In this case the rate for that session is 2.9%.

You track this day to day, and the trend over time should be going up as long as you hit that range each session. Once the rates of elongation start consistently dropping or you aren’t making progress week to week, it is time to either increase intensity or take a decon break.
