Finally saw that also.. thanks for the response!

The link given is for #32 rubber bands which are 3” long folded, i.e., 6” circumference which won’t help many on this forum. I would suggest #81 @ 2” folded X 0.5” wide or #82 2.5” folded x 0.5” wide. Same website just click on broccoli bands.

This rubber band business is driving me insane. It looks like you are probably right. I’m going to wait and see what I get and if they are wrong I will order the #81, which is the size I want. I was going by the damn picture and I have got to tell you, these rubber band size standards don’t seem to be universal.

If anyone can point me to a 2” X 1/2” rubber band where you don’t have to buy $200 worth and they confirm the size you are ordering, I would appreciate it. :)

Thanks bud_do, I found that page, but even that page doesn’t tell the dimensions. I found the dimensions on another web site that had a size table and it confirmed the sizes you quoted, but I am not convinced that a universal sizing is used. I also was ignorant as to how the band sizes are measured, but the way you stated it as the folded size made sense to me.

the link above is the FIRST hit on google for ‘rubber band sizing’.

That’s a great chart except for one thing. There is no 2" X 1/2"

This chart confirms the size: Band Basics | Lee Rubber Products | Quality Rubber Bands Since 1949

But you will notice you have to order 25 pounds! The best thing for me to do is go to the broccoli guys and buy the size 81.

As it turns out, rubber bands can be a real pain in the ass! :D

But really bud_do, thanks for pointing out that size problem. Without that info I would have been really pissed and confused the day my shipment arrived. Now when it comes I will just be pissed, but not confused. :)

For a different kind of ‘home-made cock ring’, I’ve made myself a ‘clincher’ style one & also my own variation of a wrist lock which I call the ‘LB cock lock’.

These types are relatively easy to make & modified to suit your cock. For the clincher style cock ring, I ordered a 1 metre length of 5mm diameter silicone tubing (used for car engine modification for colour coding wires) & also purchased a set of small sized toggles (the fasteners with a spring loaded push button release).
I cut off a 10” length of silicone tubing, pushed the 2 ends together & threaded 2 small toggles till the device looked like a small ‘leather string tie’ that you see some country folk wear with their shirts. Then I would add a small cut of neoprene to sit inside the first toggle so that when pulled tight, it won’t catch my foreskin (done it before & fuck me…it hurt!). It works a treat for keeping your cock nice & plump after a jelqing session (good veinage too), plus it actually works to delay ejaculation as I found out for myself not too long ago.

As for the LB cock lock, I modelled this on my wrist locks that I wear when I’m training (the type with the velcro & neoprene). I purchased some 15mm wide velcro strips, a tough rectangular plastic thread & some neoprene. To make this device requires some manual stitching. I cut the neoprene into a strip measuring 20mm wide (it is crucial to have 2.5mm overlap on both sides so that the edge of the velcro strip doesn’t cut into your cock - found that out too!). I then cut my velcro strips into the desired length - the smooth side being the longest & the hook side being 3/4 shorter - & proceeded to stitch the hook side (facing the opposite way to the smooth side) onto the end of the smooth strip (about 1” in).
Then I took the plastic thread, fed the smooth strip (unattached end) through the plastic thread & looped it round so that it could be stitched securely without it ever tearing off. Then I stitched the 20mm wide strip of neoprene into the inside of the velcro with a little overlap for the plastic thread too. After that, I got my cock nice & hard & tried it on & man…it works BETTER & feels so much more comfortable than the clincher & I guess it could also be used as a clamp (very adjustable)!

Total cost to make both styles of cock rings came under £3.50 from a haberdashery shop I found whilst commuting back from the office. So there you go, home-made cock rings are positively possible, cheaper & tailored to your requirements. What I’ll do is - if anyone is interested - is I’ll try to knock up an illustrated step-by-step instruction for both styles as soon as I get time to so that you can make these yourselves.

First, a big thanks to westla for bringing the broccoli bands into the picture.

Gprent, I don’t know how I could have missed your earlier posts on this subject, and I didn’t look them up just now, but I assume you’ve been using these wonderful little bands for years. So have I.

I’ve found the broccoli bands to be perfect for me, but they are often too tight for prolonged use until they become stretched out a little (heating them in near-boiling water for a few seconds can hasten this). You also see the same bands in seafood restaurants where they’re used to keep lobster claws closed, and these are probably already stretched, perhaps too much, from the steaming.

Someone mentioned discomfort, caused mainly by the bands being too tight, but once you’ve got the right size band, it’s also a good idea to protect your shaft skin from the grabbing effects of the naked rubber. For this, I wrap a baby sock (with toes cut off) around the band once or twice before putting it on. (Baby powder might work as well at first but would probably not be as good for prolonged use on a given occasion).

Although sleeping with anything on your dick is usually frowned upon, I often sleep with a sock-wrapped band as far down as it will go on my dick shaft, and I have never experienced numbness or any other sign of blood starvation or nerve damage. Again, the band must not be so tight as to produce discomfort. If you’ve never done this before, you might be amazed at how such a relatively light clamping effect can enhance your girth and overall plumpness—and the longer you keep it on, and the more often you sleep with it on, the longer the effect lasts during the day. Plus, you don’t have to wait days or weeks for this to work; you can feel and see the difference the first morning. When I’m traveling, this is usually the only “device” I bring with me.

These bands are also great for daytime wear to enhance your flaccid hang and bulge, and they’re much more comfortable than tight cockrings.

Thanks to the others for the links to the site where these bands can be purchased. I’m always snitching them from my sister’s kitchen, and elsewhere, because much of the broccoli you see nowadays in the supermarkets are the loose crowns only, without bands.
