How Confident Are People in BPFSL Gains as a Predictor?

Hi everyone,

Long time since I posted, but I’ve been keeping up with my PE and making gains.

I’ve gotten to a point where almost the only thing I’ll measure is my BPFSL. My thoughts are:

1. This is easier to measure and not dependent on EQ fluctuations.

2. It is touted as an almost surefire predictor of BPEL gains.

To that end, I’ve set a BPFSL goal of around an inch more than my BPEL. I will sometimes measure BPEL if I feel “bigger,” but for the most part I do not.

My question is: How confident are we in BPFSL gains as a predictor? I’ve asked in other forums and gotten positive responses. In the extreme, I cannot imagine someone with a 9 inch BPFSL and a 6 inch BPEL. It seems almost certain: If you keep increasing your BPFSL, your BPEL will follow, though the rate of gain varies.

Start (July 2020): BPEL = 5.75; MEG = 5.375; BPFSL = ??

Current: BPEL= 6.5; MEG = 5.375; BPFSL = 6.875

Goal: BPEL = 7.25; Mega-Goal: BPEL = 8.25
