How do I turn off the spell checker

Tried to post this in the 'forum forum' but couldn't.

How can I switch off the spell checker? I find it really annoying as it’s changed my punctuation a few times when there has been nothing wrong with it.

You cannot turn it off. If it is on, there was/is a reason for that. Deal with it, until one of the administrators decides to change it.

UKDude welcome to Thunder’s place.

The spellchecker is there so that you do not make mistakes when you post.

Here at Thunder, you’ll find a lot of people makes quite a fair share of spelling mistakes or use some chat language.

This is not permitted and will land you into a lot of trouble like getting banned for example.

You have to understand that the moderators here at Thunder’s place have to deal with a fair amount of new members at this time of the year, most of them repeating the same mistakes and asking silly questions. Also, there are only a few of them available during the festive season and they are working benevolently.

Do not take Sunshine’s comment personally. She did not mean to hurt your feelings.

Anyways enjoy your stay at Thunder’s.

Sunshine is known to be fair albeit tough. And I think there might be a difference in flavor of the language in your two respective locations.
