How do YOU jelq - Jelqing technique - Are Slow jelqs better than fast ones

I recently came across a site of videos showing many different PE tutorial videos. Some differ to here.

The way this guy jelqed was so quick, 1 second per jelq and he had a long unit as well. I mean no wonder the number of jelqs are so high by some people if they do them that quick.

I’ve always read here to do them long and slow, quality not quantity. Although when I first started I did them very quick, and did hundreds in a short period of time and gained well from it. But after quitting jelqing for a while I came back to it and took the advise to do it long and slow and have for a while without getting much if any benefit from it.

I’m now thinking if you do a lot of jelqs, (of course make sure they are proper) so you are expanding the chambers. But if you do a lot it may possibly be of more benefit than taking your time, slowly doing a 5 second long kegel.

The most important aspect to jelking is probably the state of erection you have when you begin.

Get engorged, but not stiff. You should still be able to bend your cock in any direction, but it should be plump with blood. I think slower works better because blood doesn’t move through those veins and arteries as fast as you might think, nor it is a good idea to rush the flow. Move it up to and into the glans. Regrip and pull blood back toward the base. If you begin to get too erect (it is stimulating), back off a little until you get down to the level of engorgement at which you started.

Anyone else want to comment about speed? I wish I could post that video because it really has got me thinking about jelqing.

This is how I jelq my EL is around 40 to 50%. Then I use a overhand grip because I feel that I get closer to the pubic bone better than a ok grip jelq technique.

Plus my Turkey neck gets in the way of my overhand jelqing.To solve this problem My other free hand is resting on top of my Turkey Neck. Ever since doing that My TK has greatly reduced but not completely. It actually takes 2 hands for me to perform a quality jelq with no problems.

Then I proceed to milk towards my glans counting in thousandth increments example for instance 1 one thousand, 2 one thousand and so one. Mind you my jelqs are extremely slow going for quality and not quantity. Another thing slower the jelq the faster the dick grows. I go all the way up my shaft touch my outer glans then I start over again .

I keep repeating this process till my 10 Min are up. The longest I average is about 10 seconds.

The motto I’m going by is The slower jelq the better the dick grows!

This is kinda like how I’m doing it as well.

I begin to move the overhand OK grip up my shaft, and as soon as I get some room I place my other OK grip at the base and close the grip hard. But right before I close the grip at my base I do a nice hard kegel to pump in some blood.

I move up the shaft to my glans in 5 hard counts (one-onethousandth, two-onethousandth ect), then remove that hand and get it ready for the next cycle.


Start (Jan 2011): FL=8.75cm(3.44") BPEL=18.35cm (7.22") EG=11.6cm(4.56")

Current: FL=10.50cm(3.94") BPEL=19.55cm (7.69") EG=13.25cm(5.21")

Goal: BPEL=19.1cm (7.5") EG=14.0cm(5.5") and reduce my fat pad!

I perform the slow jelq but I have read both ways promise good results but the majority seems to believe a slow jelq it’s best. I plan to stay with the slow and newbie routine provided by thunders.

The most important thing I found when jelqing for girth is not only the erection level but equal pressure along the shaft. If you want to increase the tapering or swell from base to head you need to focus on maintaining a pumped head throughout the movement. Also pay attention to where you feel the most sore or where you get bruised most often your fingers can provide unequal pressure on one side. So switch grips overhand, underhand, one or two fingers, up or down, and you can prevent lengthy recovery time from bruises.

Common sense dictates that slow reps would be safer and more efficient, specially for newcomers.

Also, the force you use is very important too.

It’s probably best to start slow and without too much force to prevent injury and to allow your penis to get accustomed to the exercises.

Slow or faster in bought of them I observed that I need to maintain a low level of engorgement like avocet8 said.
When I perform slow jelqs I kind of could stay more focused and keep me engorged.

By the last one one or two months I tried a different type of jelqs is like a combination between dry jelqs and Sadsak`s head exercise. I noticed a bigger flaccid after 3 sets of hanging and 3 sets of this type of jelqing so I`m going to stick with it for a while :D .

I have removed semi erect jelqs from my regimen since I’ve read some venous leakage issues

I seem to feel tons of pressure in the glans when I jelq and I just do not want to go there, would rather have a small dick then a broken dick

I do however do flaccid jelqs but as soon as I feel I am flooding the glans I stop

My preferance is slow, full erect jelqing.

I jelq in the 50-80% erect state taking between 2.5 to 3 seconds per stroke. I tried doing 2 second jelqs before but no faster. Honestly, early on it was far easier for me to maintain consistent pressure at 2 seconds rather than 3 seconds per stroke. However as time went on I felt things were getting a better workout, and still consistent at 3 seconds. Unfortunately pace can vary so it’s usually in the 2.5 to 3 second region rather than exactly 3.
